  1st time at the Drury Inn

  I’ve heard great things about the Drury Inn and always wanted to give it a try. My wife, myself, and our 20lb dog finally had an opportunit and booked this hotel on our trip home to Toronto from Florida. The hotel was easy to find as it’s literally right off the I-75. Close the keyboard google close the keyboard.We were greeted by a friendly front desk employee who provided us with all the information we needed to make our stay comfortable. She was kind enough to give our puppy a cookie, which of course he loved. She told us our room was on the third floor and had a jetted tub but unfortunately faced the highway. She even offered us earplugs to block out the highway traffic…yikes!The room was clean and well-appointed and located just down the hall from the staircase for easy access to the outside for the dog. Popcorn and soda are offered from 4:00 - 11:00 in the lobby, which was a nice touch. Kickback Happy Hour is from 5:30 - 7:00 or 7:30. The hotel provides you with 3 complimentary drink tickets each (beer, wine, or mixed drinks) and a buffet-style ‘dinner’. The food on our evening included baked potatoes, baked beans, a nice fresh salad, cold slaw, chicken noodle soup, hot dogs, and BBQ pulled pork and buns. After a long drive, this was a welcome option vs leaving the hotel to pick up food. The hotel itself was quiet during the night; however, the highway was another story altogether. I’m sure it would have been a different story if we had a room at the back of the hotel, but that wasn’t to be. We made the best of our stay by turning on the fan and the air conditioning to drown out the road noise. Breakfast has your typical hotel fare, including scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and potatoes. We did enjoy our first stay at a Drury and gave the experience a 4/5. The highway noise and the fact that they charge $50 a night for a non-shedding 20 lb puppy were the factors involved for not scoring it a 5.PS- I read another review speaking about not having plastic bags in the garbage cans, which was true and kind of odd. We took our wet items down to the lobby area because we didn’t want the housekeeper to have to clean out the metal garbage cans in the room. When we checked out, we asked the front desk about it, and they said that the bags were considered a choking hazard for kids?? Interesting.   Not the Best Experience this Time But I Would Still Consider Another Stay

  The stay here was our second stay in Findlay. We arrived while the Kickback was still open but soon to close. We had no plates, no silverware, and scraping the bottom of the pan of potatoes, so this was not pleasant for us. So if you want to stay, be sure to get there more than 30 minutes before they shut that down. There are several fast food eateries very close to this Drury and some nicer ones a short drive away. The room was good and we appreciated how easy it was to find at the exit. The next morning was super easy to get back on the highway and continue our trip.

  Exceptional stay for our show choir — truly above and beyond

  Our show choir stayed at this Drury Hotel in January, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about our experience. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. Traveling with a large student group can be hectic, but they made everything feel easy and stress-free.The hotel itself was spotless and very well maintained. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet—exactly what you want after long competition days.The food was another standout. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the evening meal was absolutely amazing. Having both breakfast and an evening meal included made such a difference for our group and parents, and the quality exceeded expectations.What really set this stay apart was the staff. Every interaction—from the front desk to dining staff—was friendly, patient, and genuinely caring. They treated our students with respect and kindness, which means everything when traveling with kids.This was truly an outstanding experience, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend this Drury Hotel for group travel, student trips, or anyone looking for a clean, welcoming place with excellent service and food.
