Pluses and minuses of Hera Beach

Excellent location, clean but small rooms. Staff is not good at languages, (I speak English, Russian and German besides my native Hungarian) but they are friendly. Food is not too good, never a slice of meat, only small cubes in some sauce and chicken and fish, never lamb though otherwise it is very popular and good in the country. No ice cream, many tasteless salads. In the bar drinks are served in plastic glasses, they are either disposable or look like glasses meant for holding tooth brushes. Everywhere toilets have taps for washing your rear end , it is very convenient never to be found in European hotels.

obeyed the rules of the hotel staff very dirty and poor hygiene all the same dishes that night, until dem morning tea are teas. 4 times a week so really süresünce off air conditioners constantly changed personnel. If you want to come so come to think 41 times.

lovely location but staff unhelpful

just arrived back from a week at hera beach, room was very small unable to unpack clothes but on the plus side was clean. food very repetative lots of chicken,rice,salad,bread couldnt find any english tea and no ice creams included which was dissapointing as we had taken our grandaughter.staff very unhelpful they didnt speak english we were always queing at the bar and the coffee machine was not always working.

When my husband and i arrived at the hotel on the 7th of september 2010 we were told it was full and were sent to a 1 star hotel which was not very nice. The food was very repetative mostly chicken every night. 3 bottles of drinks they were vodka, gin and racky. The room was ok but small. For the last 3 days no white wine. i would advise you NOT to go to this hotel as this happend to alot of people.Maureen x

arrived to find that we had been overbooked!!so were sent to a hotel from hell called sidelife-it should have watchdog there-filthy,hair in the fridge,urine on the bed,filthy cups -went back to hera to say we couldnt stay there 1 more night!.got put in sunclub side-which was nice,clean,comfy,and we could shower........we then got our room at hera ,so that was our 4th day,nitemare-not a good start to the holiday.the staff were friendly,helpful.the food wasnt good,but the salad was nice,it was a rat race for food most nights,food was cold,,repetitive,ther are lovely bars/cafes there near to hotel.side itself is beautiful,historical,safe,friendly.if i went again i would pay more and go into a 5 star hotel for sure.the harbour is beautiful,you can walk for miles.very cheap to eat out and drink.boat trips are great there.and the sea is so warm,clean.so you live and learn,would not return to this hotel,there is many problems there which could be sorted out.side itself was lovely,relaxing,.
