    Horrendous

    rating20 May 2025

This is one of the grossest hotels I've ever been to. On arrival, our room reeked of cigarette smoke. There was apparently no phone line and the phone itself was covered in a weird substance. The bathroom door had a fist hole in it. Cigarette butts were clearly let out on the side of the tub. The TV remote was busted open with no batteries. Oh and on our way out, in the godawful pothole filled parking lot, we got a nail in our tire! Stay far away from this place. Not so great

    rating20 Apr 2024

This place is worn down, The "premium" king room did not have half the lights working. The safety latch was broken and the door was bowed at the bottom suggesting it had been kicked in at some point. I did not feel safe here. There appears to be 2 separate buildings where smokers stay and non smoking. I think there are people who are living on the smoking side. One guest lets their big dog just run around unsupervised. The parking lot has quite large potholes that are very hard to maneuver around. The parking lot was well lit which helped. The room was clean enough and did not smell and thankfully no bugs! The TV picture did not have a decent quality. The mattress was ok when I first fell asleep but I woke up in the middle of the night with an aching back. I had to prop pillows up against the headboard so I could create a reclining posture to relieve the pain. If you are not concerned about shabby accommodations and are only looking for a dog friendly, cheap hotel, this may be ok for you. I will not return. You can find a better place.

The bed was comfortable. The internet service was good. It was close to the freeway but we did not hear the freeway noise. But the heater was so noisy, almost lie a jet taking off, but if we turned it off, the room got cold quite quickly. There were no blankets. There was only one chair in the room. The space was a bit tight. Friendly West Virginia hospitality at a budget motel

    rating11 Nov 2023

My wife and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Parkersburg, West Virginia while visiting the region on a multi-state fall color trip. We arrived at about 7:15 p.m. on a Tuesday evening, and as it was after sunset, one of the most helpful features was that the property's red-lit Red Roof Inn sign was very prominent upon exiting US-50 onto 7th Street at night. It made it very easy to find. The front desk staff, both upon check in and checking out in the morning, were very friendly and engaging in conversation. The room was on the small side and furnishings were generally in somewhat worn condition in need of updating, but for the price our expectations were not high. There also seemed to be regular noise from running water from an adjacent room that I could hear easily during the night. However, it met our needs for what turned out to be a less than 12-hour stay during which we never did see the small city of Parkersburg during daylight. We got an early start the next morning and left before sunrise to explore the beautiful West Virginia foliage. Madison Velian, Marketing at Red Roof Inn Parkersburg, responded to this review Thank you, Jahoduluth, for telling us about your stay at the RED ROOF INN PARKERSBURG. I am glad you were able to find our location, you found our staff to be friendly and engaging and all the other kind remarks highlighted. However, I am disappointed your stay fell short due to the over- all appearance of the room and all the other concerns that dampened your visit. Please accept our apologies for the impact this had on your stay and can assure you that this is not reflective of our usual standards. While Red Roof goal is to deliver a clean, comfortable and value- based stay to all guests, it seems that we have fell short with you. To uphold our company's high standards, your comments will be reviewed by staff, in an effort to ensure you experience is not repeated in the future. Nevertheless, feedback from our Red Roof guests are always welcome as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services. Thank you for sharing your concerns and I hope you will give us the opportunity to better serve you at Red Roof the next time your travel plans require lodgingSincerely,OliviaRed Roof Management RediResponse Specialist

    Disgusting Ignorance

    rating01 Sept 2023

Dirty washcloth left in the shower. Makes me wonder what else they missed. NO help from the front desk. I am NOT finding another hotel at 11pm because someone at this hotel doesn't do their job correctly. THIS will be the last time I stay at a RRI.
