  Arrived at the hotel late at night to be shown what they said is a 2 bedroom apartment. The man who shown us to our room wa rude and obnoxious shouting thank you, thank you, very loud and banging on the wall as we didn’t tip him. I asked the next day to change rooms, they said all the rooms are the same size. on the last day I found out that there are actually 2 bed apartments but they were charging people to upgrade so our room must have been sold on to someone else it seems very money oriented it seem they are trying to make as much money as they can. Room was dirty. It hadn’t been dusted for weeks. Towels changed twice whilst we were there and smelt of cigarette smoke. My 10 year old was on a camp bed the mattress 2 inches thick when you lay on it you could feel the metal frame underneath so he ended up staying in our bed. There’s an internal soil pipes in the bathroom which meant every time the apartments above flushed their toilets you could hear noise of the waste being taken away, as the bathroom was in the main bedroom. For our daughter to get to the bathroom she had to go through our bedroom which made it awkward for her as she’s 16Food was poor at breakfast you could see people wondering around seeing what they could have to eat. Not even a toaster one day they served cauliflower and broccoli for breakfast. Entertainment was poor, my child didn’t want to take part as he didn’t know what they were saying as the entertainers spoke German, Russian, Turkish nothing spoken in English. They excluded children who didn’t take part in the entertainment at night from having popcorn and candy floss. No entertainment during the day. Pool is supposed to be open until 7pm however the table and chairs around the pool are being cleared up around 5:30pm ready for the evening they took our drinks from the table and we were told to move when we were sat at the table. It made me feel intimidated. We felt like we were excluded due to being English as nothing was spoken in English and very little was written in English. I have been coming to turkey for many years and this has to be one of the worse experiences I have had with rude staff and management

  Merve Sun Hotel & Spa - very food holiday

  We were very pleasantly surprised by the services of this 4-star hotel. The food was varied, the apartment was spacious enough and cleaned regularly. The hotel and beach staff were helpful and accommodating — we would especially like to highlight Hasan at the reception and Fatima from the restaurant.As minor downsides, we found the entertainment programs to be quite loud (though most were very interesting), and we missed having designated non-smoking seating (tables) around the pool.Overall, we had a very nice and relaxing holiday at MERVE SUN HOTEL & SPA.Thank you.

  Everything was great at the hotel. The manager at the reception, Hasan, will help u with everything and make sure you have the best holiday! All the staff was very very friendly and nice! The animation team , Hasan and Eda is an awesome touch to the hotel’s program so u can spent an amazing evening at the hotel. Every night it’s a different event! The food , drinks, snacks at the restaurant and the beach was great too! I 100% recommend!! Looking forward to book again!

  Best Holiday Ever!

  Highly Recommend this hotel!! I read quite a few bad reviews, was quite worried due to them all but when we arrived there was not 1 bad thing about any of it! To start off the receptionist was lovely! We didn’t get his name but he seemed to have been there every night/early morning he was so so welcoming and respectful!! He took our suitcases to our rooms, made sure we liked the rooms and then left straight after, he never refused to ask if we needed anything and always said hello & asked how are are when walking by the main desk!Secondly the bartender Orhan was also lovely, he always offered us drinks, it got to the point we didn’t need to say a word and he would still bring us a drink over, he’s so funny and always had a laugh with us, he’s only there on a night time as far as I know. Thirdly the food was delicious, quite repetitive but it was enjoyable, there wasn’t much British food either, the desserts were lovely also, the chefs and other staff in the restaurant were also nice, they always served with a smile. The soups were always different and also really really nice!Lastly the rooms, pool, play park, Entertainment & Shops.Rooms: They were nice and always cleaned by the cleaners who were also really sweet, they left lovely little gestures on the bed with towels. The AC worked perfectly! The shower was one of the best I’ve had when abroad & the rest of the room was great! We had water in our fridge on arrival and enough space for our suitcases & clothes. It also has a kettle, tea, coffee and sugar & the balcony has a little place where you can hang any of your wet laundry.Pool: The pool was lovely! Not one bit of dirt around or in it, the indoor pool is only open during winter though which is understandable. The kids loved the slides and even myself and a couple other adults enjoyed them, they were switched on and off at certain times before and after food.Play Park: The kids loved the play park, there was nothing wrong with it, it was perfect for the little ones, it has 2 swings, 2 slides, 1 big sea saw and 2 separate ones which again the kids loved. Entertainment: The Entertainment was great especially for the kids, the guy who runs the entertainment was okay he was a little bit rude but he was great when it came to the kids entertainment.Shops: The shops below and around the hotel were good, they didn’t shout at you much or bother you, they had some good things in them and not far of a walk either. A little bit further down the street is a supermarket which is great prices especially if you’re wanting to take some things back with you to your room.
