  “A Nice Break, But Not Worth Returning For”

  This is a lovely, clean hotel with very friendly and hardworking staff, especially in the restaurant and bar areas. The food in the main restaurant was average, but we really enjoyed the burgers from the poolside shack, as well as the pancakes, waffles, and occasional BBQ during the day. The coffee shop inside the hotel was also excellent for iced coffees, cakes, and ice cream. The spa experience, including the Turkish bath and massage, was relaxing and definitely worth doing during your stay.The hotel itself feels modern, clean, and relaxing, and the adults-only atmosphere makes it ideal for couples. One thing to be aware of is the distance from the airport, as the transfer can feel quite long. We paid extra for a private transfer, which made the journey much quicker and more comfortable, so I’d recommend doing that if possible.The main downside was the lack of information about where facilities and activities were located — a map would have been very helpful. I’d also recommend upgrading your room before arrival, as the land view rooms can be noisy due to traffic. If you do pay for an upgrade, make sure to check your bank statement, as I was accidentally charged twice, although this was quickly resolved by staff. The room doors are very heavy and tend to slam, which can be disruptive at night, and the soundproofing between rooms isn’t great, so you can often hear noise from neighbouring rooms and corridors. There is also loud music from nearby hotels in the evenings. We noticed there weren’t many daytime activities, although this may have been due to low season.Overall, we did enjoy our stay and it was lovely to come away and have a relaxing break. However, we personally wouldn’t return as we don’t feel the hotel was quite the right fit for us. That being said, many people would probably really enjoy it, especially if you’re looking for a clean, modern adults-only hotel with a relaxing atmosphere.

  Selene beach hotel stay

  Hotel and rooms clean, we had issues with the room when we arrived but that was dealt with quickly. The food wasn’t great but the desserts were good and bar staff welcoming. The restaurant staff weren’t very friendly, but the staff and service at the spa was exceptional, especially Tika. The coffee shop was a great addition to the hotel. Lots of shops close by but the hotel is a distance from Antalya airport.   We were overall very satisfied with our stay at Selene Beach & Spa Hotel. The food and cocktails were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable.Who truly made our stay perfect was Can (we love you!). He has such a great personality, is incredibly friendly, and made us feel very comfortable throughout our time there. Jane was also one of the sweetest people we met. It was always a pleasure talking with her.We would also like to give a special thanks to Ekrem from the spa. He is a very calm and kind gentleman. We enjoyed several relaxing massages, and the female massage therapists were absolutely wonderful, friendly, and highly skilled.Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to try the à la carte restaurant, as it was not open yet. Also, keep in mind that on rainy days, dining options can be quite limited. After lunch ends at 14:00, there were no savory food options available until 19:00, which was surprising and a bit inconvenient.On a positive note, our rooms were always cleaned perfectly by the lovely housekeeping staff. They often left us small, thoughtful surprises, which we really appreciated.Overall, we had a great experience at the hotel. The staff deserves special praise.   Lovely…. But….

  We are in resort at the moment 2nd day, hotel lovely, clean and friendly staff. The only downside on arrival was we were issues a room (323) which is a land view which we had booked!! We were asked if we wanted to upgrade to sea view for a cost €300. On arrival at our room we were overlooking the neighbouring hotels air conditioning units so the balcony was unusable unless you wanted to listen to to the noise! Next morning we asked to change room which they were most obliging to a worst room over the bins, delivery area and generator, which was promptly refused the next alternative was to pay for a sea view which we reluctantly did at a cost after haggling €250. Jane from customer relations was very helpful in booking the À la carte restaurant. Also the 15 minute free massage is absolutely amazing so I’m going back for 3 more!! Moral of the story is book sea view before you come it’s cheaper than in the hotel and a lot less hassle!! ….. Will update but having a lovely time!!!   We stayed at Selene Beach Hotel for seven nights, and this was our third visit to this beautiful hotel. We upgraded to a sea view room on arrival, as we hadn’t selected this when booking, and the process was quick and straightforward. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, and the sea view room offers truly breathtaking views.The staff are a real highlight. I’d especially like to give a shout-out to Can from the entertainment team, who made our stay so enjoyable. Wherever he was, he brought energy, joy, and positivity his personality is infectious, and the hotel is very lucky to have him.I’d also like to mention Husain, now the head chef. His professionalism and manner are outstanding. He remembered us from our previous visit and took the time to speak with us, which we really appreciated. His communication and attention to guests are of a very high standard.Another thank you to Burak at the snack bar always polite, respectful, and helpful.Unfortunately, our only negative experience was at the snack bar waiter with one member of staff (wearing a black jacket). When we simply asked for water, his attitude came across as dismissive and unhelpful, almost as though the request was beneath him or not worth his time. It left a poor impression, especially given how accommodating and friendly most of the other staff were. In contrast, another waiter at the snack bar (in a blue shirt) was very welcoming and provided great service.The food overall was very good, especially at the snack bar. As someone with coeliac disease, I was really impressed with how accommodating the hotel was Husain in particular ensured my dietary needs were met without any issue.While we have enjoyed our stays here, we probably wouldn’t return. The main reason is that the hotel seems to cater more towards an older demographic (50+) rather than younger adults. Entertainment options were quite limited, with the only standout being the club nights. Additionally, the guest mix leaned more towards Russian and German visitors, which may not suit everyone’s preference.To summarise, this is a very clean and well-maintained hotel with mostly friendly and professional staff. It’s a great choice if you’re looking to relax and unwind, particularly for a quieter, more laid-back holiday.
