  Truly unique place.

  We stayed one night to break up a long drive down coast - it was a last minute decision to stop. What a pleasant surprise. Well preserved modern decor with amazing art pieces throughout - Nicely appointed waterfront for drinks food and crystal clear calm water. Very nice loungers. Small scale makes it a great place to relax with personalized service - more like a private residence (which apparently it was) than a hotel. Bora, who is also a translator, looked after us and was fantastic.

  The hotel is not a place you will dream about after staying there.Everything you touch in the hotel will be additionally included in your bill when you check out: coffee capsules in your room (even with a complimentary sign), bottles of water in your room (also with a complimentary sign), coffee at breakfast (even if you paid for breakfast in advance) - everything, everything, everything will be included in your bill when you check out.Before you think about swimming in the sea, look into the water from the pier - there is a huge amount of various garbage in the sea - you will be able to decide which garbage you prefer to swim in.If you do not smoke - you will not be able to breathe in the hotel - everyone smokes and everywhere - smoke is everywhere - you will feel like in a fog.I do not want to come back here at all.

  Undelivered huge potentials.

  As mentioned by many, the hotel is definitely a unique and beautiful example of charm and design. The place itself is just marvelous. Located in the small town of Torba, with cristalline waters, it’s only 10min drive from Bodrum Town. Large rooms (we had a sea-view suite), in need of minor upgrade/maintenance but generally comfortable with good stiff mattress. This boutique hotel has HUGE potentials. Unfortunately the management/owners seems to lack the professional background to understand and enhance this:- no gym/fitness area (not even available yoga mats)- no kettle in the room. Forget making yourself a tea. - no restaurant/bar service after 6pm. Forget a cocktail, coffee or any beverage service after sunset. (Isn’t an all day dining a prerogative for 5 stars?).- breakfast is suitable (maybe) only for Turkish as there is nothing else than eggs, few slices of cheese, 2 (TWO) slices of cold cuts, a salad and fresh fruit + some bread and jams. No pastry of any kind. Neither local pastry, nor cakes, nor croissants. No Nutella/chocolate style cream. Coffee quality very low. Only 1 type of fruit juice. In general an offer definitely not suitable a 5 stars hotel (probably not even a 3 stars).- leaving your room at 10am and place the “make my room” sign is useless: in 10 days we never get our room cleaned before 3pm. Even when we directly asked for it. - room cleaning extremely basic: water never refilled, ashtray never emptied and cleaned, coffee pods never refilled, towels missing at times, unswept/mopped floors.(only the 2 times we asked the (kind) manager for cleaning all the above was done properly).- general bar/beach service below standards: forgetting orders, never assist to prepare sun beds/umbrellas. Clearly provided by unprofessional (lazy) staff.l'hôtellerie is not a business for wannabes. Professionalism, passion and expertise are needed to run an hotel/restaurant. Specially a 5 stars boutique one.

  Beautiful Art Gallery Setting, Poor Service

  We were honestly underwhelmed and disappointed in our stay after reading the rave reviews in some of the travel magazines. The hotel has huge potential, but needs major improvement:Pros: -the head management (or who seemed to be) were extremely kind, welcoming, and chatty-the space/property is very one-of-a-kind unique and cool - it actually IS an art gallery-the small setting can be a pro or a con depending on what vacation vibe you are looking for - very private and secluded - a nice sanctuary, but not a “party” atmosphere-the lunch menu was excellent (great burger and salads), breakfast/dinner was just okayCons: -The service was extremely off and lacking - had to ask for everything (i.e. utensils, plate, napkins, water) every single time and only half the time would they bring it without having to ask two more times. The food orders came out wrong or missing. There was, of course, an understandable language barrier with the staff but it made it almost impossible for English-speakers to get service. I think they were trying their best, but inexperienced and not well-trained. -The hotel nickels and dimes you for everything: -there is a resort fee on top of the room rate so take note-our breakfast was “included” in our rate, but with only one option- the traditional breakfast of savory meats, cheeses, an egg, etc. They didn’t provide an option for people with other diets - i.e. an oatmeal, fruit, yogurt was an extra charge from the a la carte menu. They only include ONE cup of drip (maybe instant) coffee (which is weak and undrinkable) and upcharge for each espresso drink. We spent more for the “included” breakfast we pre-paid for than if we just left the premises. They also overcharged us for coffees on the bill and we had to ask them to correct it. -They give you an espresso machine and pods in your room but charge you if you use more than the pods they give you the first day. Same for water. Minor charges but irksome for a “luxury” hotel. -They didn’t bother refilling toiletries. We had to ask for body wash. -When checking out they asked if we used the mini bar, we said no (because we hadn’t), the manager/front desk person sent the cleaning person to run up and double check as we were taking our luggage out to our Taxi to make sure we hadn’t lied and that they didn’t need to charge us. We found this beyond offensive and a very off-putting farewell. -No real fitness center as advertised - there is a “gym” in the basement with two run-down cardio machines, a pilates reformer, and no real weights. It is in a musty, humid basement with dead bugs and is hot and unusable. This was a HUGE bummer. I would have chosen another hotel. -Spa is also not very lux, and in the musty basement -On-site bar closes down by 1030 pm or so.-Only two rooms overlook the sea-Pool umbrellas not well maintained- we moved bc we were afraid one would fly up and maim us with the sharp metal sticking out

  The Perfect Visit

  My wife and I have traveled fairly extensively over the years and stayed in a lot of very nice hotels. As such we have become very critical of places that don't meet our expectations, which admittedly are high. The Casa'DellArte Hotel was the first place we have stayed where the facility, staff, service, and overall ambiance were absolutely exceptional! The restaurant offered an amazing and unique Turkish take on a variety of dishes. The top chef and his staff surprised us nightly with outstanding dishes. If you are an art lover you will be impressed with the collection that the hotel contains. Nothing is overlooked by the very attentive group of hotel staff making you feel like you're the only guests. We were so taken with Casa Dell'Arte Hotel that we extended our stay for three days. Only wish it could've been longer. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing, beatiful holiday. Casa Dell'Arte is the place to go. We can't thank you enough for making our 40th wedding anniversary so special!
