Apartment was next to construction. Furniture and goods very quite old. For better apartment they ask additional payment. Pool and restaurants wasnt working. Just an apartment. Quite far from center, it takes more then hour.

A big resort with a lot to offer

    rating16 Nov 2022

One of the oldest timeshare resorts open for public. The buildings are spaced apart with excellent landscaping. Each unit had comfortable living room and full kitchen. Daily cleaning service was prompt. It has great beach access with free chaises and umbrellas. The main restaurant was still closed because of Covid but the beach cafe-bar grill had plenty choices for lunch and dinner. Fresh baked goodies are available at the small bakery/market at the entrance. The view was spectacular for sunrise and sunset. If you drive make sure you have arrangement with adjoining resort for parking.

    Terrible place to stay

    rating26 Aug 2019

fotograflar gercegi yansitmiyor 10 yil oncesindeki fotograflar kullanilmis, su anda otel cok bakimsiz cok pis, personel kaba ve ilgisiz, odadaki tuvalet bozuktu, oda kapisinin onu korkunc kokuyordu, yatak odamizdaki klima yerinden cikarilmisti, oda korkunc sicak ve gurultuluydu. odememizi yakip bir gun kalip kactik. Kesinlikle tavsiye etmiyoruz. The pictures being displayed on hotels.com dont reflect the current reality, we believe the pictures are from 10 years ago-might have been a nice place once. Currently the otel is very dirty, rusty, apparently unattended, everything is falling apart. The hotel personnel is very rude, inattentive and not arrogant. In the room, the toilet was not working properly, in front of the room had a disgusting smell, AC was removed from the main bedroom, it was horribly hot and noisy. Although we paid full we could go only bear the situation for a single day and escaped. We dont advise anyone at all.

    It's bad.

    rating08 Jul 2018

The only thing good about this place is the sea. Nothing else. No wifi, very old apartments, no maintenance, 90s TVs, inefficient AC, unsanitary bathrooms and the most uncomfortable beds. There were freaking cockroaches in our room! No music whatsoever. They charge expensive apartments but can't afford sound systems? No animation whatsoever. It used to be better. Now that the government owns the main road, the main and VIP areas are so far apart and even getting in is we way too difficult than it needs to be. They didn't give us anything. Just a room with bath towels and a thin blanket. No shampoo or anything...not even soap. At the beach, the restaurant is very basic. No variety. The beach side chairs are very cheap and not comfortable enough. Location's good though.

Quiet at the End of the Season

    rating17 Nov 2017

Yalikavak is your sleepy fishing village that has exploded. The Flipper is actually round the headland into the next bay. A sprawl of low rise blocks cover the coastline. In late September they appear to be almost empty. The sky is blue but already at 0800 there is a heat haze in the distance. Clouds over the Greek islands on the horizon. A couple of boats are moored to the jetty by the hotel - small gin palace and a rather larger catamaran. But this bay is pretty much empty; most boats are moored in the Palmarina in the next bay. Later on there will be jet skis but they haven't woken up yet. There is a new hotel being built next door. At the moment it is a concrete carbuncle. It's a steep hillside and although nothing is higher than three stories, it mostly resembles the concrete gun emplacements the Germans built to defend Festung Europa from Invasion. It will be nice when it is finished, I'm sure. Although when they pour concrete in the early evening it's a bit noisy, next door is far enough away (half a mile, perhaps) not to be too intrusive. Club Flipper itself is a series of three story blocks stretching up from the small shingle beach to the road. We're on the top floor. A tree has grown up within arm's length of the veranda. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and is really rather nice. Stroll down the hill to the pool. There are two, one of which is being drained for the winter. But the handful of guests seem to prefer the beach. Cross the road and down to the next bay for another pool and another couple of little beaches. There is a beach bar down there, but that was the only place in the complex which we found open. Apart from the shop, that is. Rather expensive but handy, especially if you want to buy big 5l bottles of drinking water and don't want to carry them home. The baker spent five years in Newcastle and speaks rather better English than most Geordies. Does a lovely fresh baked simmit. Our suite has a big lounge / diner / kitchenette, a decent sized veranda, bedroom, good sized shower, loo. Lovely comfy leather armchairs, but the sofa was surprisingly hard until I realised it was a sofa bed. I didn't try lying on it. The veranda could easily seat four round the table. There are six chairs which might be a squeeze, but for two of us it is more than ample. The first room we were shown to had not been cleaned, so the porter took us to another room. This was fine except there was no toilet paper. Fortunately we had brought our own. The maid service was only once or twice in the week - I got the impression that they were short off maids as well as gardeners . Be aware that like everywhere in Turkey, the toilets are attached to narrow gauge pipes Do NOT throw loo paper down the loo or you will block the pipes. The warning sign in the loo tells you this - in Turkish only. I was surprised that the receptionists spoke virtually no English, although they went to a lot of trouble to communicate. Possibly because it was the end of the season? The grounds are pleasant but a bit scruffy. Usually in Turkey you see at least a couple of gardeners and porters brushing the paths every day. We saw nobody. Not on our side of the road at any rate. The hotel spills over the road and the other side and down to the sea on the other side of the headland, and that side had several gardeners. Not quite sure what the difference is.
