Location

This beach hotel and holiday resort is located on the outskirts of Bodrum on a hillside above a small bay. Direct access to the beach can be gained from the hotel to the sand/ pebble beach of Bardakçı Bay. The centre of Bodrum with its many shopping and entertainment venues is to be found around 15 km from the hotel. Bodrum airport is just 35 km away.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 205 junior suites and 4 suites. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a hotel doctor and a hotel shuttle bus. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. Valuables can be securely stored in a safe. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and bathrobes are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered a selection of towels. The resort has family rooms and 209 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for a fee). A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis, beach volleyball and archery are available. Water sports available at the resort include canoeing, snorkelling, diving and water aerobics. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example table tennis, darts, squash, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, a gym and billiards. A range of wellness facilities, such as a spa, a hammam, a beauty salon, Ayurveda treatments and a solarium, are offered at the resort. For a fee, guests can also take advantage of a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Meals

The dining area includes a bar. The restaurant has air conditioning and high chairs for children. Catering options include half board, full board and all-inclusive. A generous breakfast buffet, a lunch à la carte and a comprehensive dinner buffet offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Amazing service and food

    We came to this hotel as a group of 12 ladies from England to celebrate my birthday. The location of the hotel is stunning and it has everything you need in terms of facilities. The rooms were a little bit tired and I was surprised that we didn't have more bedding. We've had to ask for additional sheets to keep comfortable during the night. The beds were also a little bit hard for me personally!! I want to make a special mention to Ramazan who's is one of the restaurant staff. He has absolutely made our holiday, he is friendly, attentive and nothing has been too much trouble. If anything he has been able to know what we know even before we did!! He has always made sure all of us could sit together and invested so much time getting to know us, and with absolutely no judgement on how loud/joyous we can be at times! 😜 We now also have some fab photos with him to remember this time. Eren has been working alongside him during some of our visits and although he does not speak as much of our language, he has also been attentive and very friendly. The food has been amazing and we were also surprised that although we came part way through the half term, we have still had plenty of space on sun beds or wherever we chose to spend the day.

    Amazing hotel, 15 min walk from gumbet and Bodrum marina. The staff are amazing really friendly and make you feel at home, very attentive. Lovely private beach and amazing facilities.

    Wonderful hotel on the hill in Bodrum. Boasts one of the best Hammam in Bodrum. Fantastic restaurant overlooking Bodrum city. On a sunny day, it’s just divine.Great staff, cute rooms, good views.

    Very poor given 4th year in a row. Poor food choice and cold food

    In October we went back to Salmakis for the 4th year in a row. We always book the first two weeks in October and found our happy place. Apart from this year.The hotel, in order to save costs, got rid of the original management (the hard workers) and replaced them with kids who were only interested in their mobile phones and not attending to customers.The food was poor, lack of choice, half the food hall shut down, food was cold, I took a video of the cats eating the food from the food counter.When I raised this I got laughed at. The hotel was dirty and we even had a dead rat in our corridor outside the bedroom door. That was clearly obviously removed.There’s a few really great people there - Tariq, Ozhan and Geyhan. You made two weeks slightly better.Unfortunately the hotel has gone down hill rapidly and the happy place we found will no longer be on the list. When we went it was 20% full yet normally it’s nearer 90%Hopefully we have found another happy place in Bodrum for next year and it’s even £150 a week per person cheaper. Sorry Salmakis you really disappointed this year and we’re not interested in what a number of guests had to say

    Overall, great value for money. We had a lovely relaxing holiday.Good:Location is gorgeous and you can get the water taxi into Bodrum which is lovely. Amazing views (we paid for a sea view upgrade and it was worth it - view from 620 is stunning!)Choice of food - mostly (and no dodgy bellies)All inclusive means everything including cocktails so we did not go hungry or thirsty! Staff are lovely and wonderful with our little onePool area is lovely and clean, indoor pool too (did not try)Private beachNever any issue getting a sunbed anywhere Gym is pretty good (there are spa facilities too)Cheesecake in reception barClean pool towels everydayRoom cleaning - mostly (more sweeping than properly mopping)General relaxed nature of the hotel Could be improved:Lots of flies on tables when eating.. think they need to wipe tables properly with fresh cloth and anti-bac spray!Hotel cats watching you eat your dinner (even when sitting inside)Beach could be swept/cleaned more. When the tide goes a certain direction it brings up plastic/fag butts. A beach clean should be carried out every morning Occasionally food got a bit samey and weird (cold chips at breakfast?) but sometimes also good. We travelled at the end of the season so was not expecting perfection and had a wonderful holiday :-)
