  Honeymoon visit

  We visited this hotel for my wife’s birthday and as well as our honeymoon. The service was amazing , we had a nice surpirse waiting for us in our room and all the staff is amazing. All the way from check in to check out , all the staff we met were so sweet and so hospitable. Special mention to Okan , Metin, Gizen and Kaan. Especially Kaan for helping us out during checkin and the surprise.   The hotel had nice reviews for the rooms and restaurant on Tripadvisor and the photos were nice so we booked for a week and another 2 days when returning from Fetiye. After payment and just before our flight ! we received info that they would close and we could not return for the last 2 days ( why last minute ?)We arrived and received room 212, next to the elevator and at the front of the hotel, and the busy road ( noise all night long). The balcony was no balcony but 2 chairs and a little table next to our entrance door. We informed the reception that we were not happy and we could change to another room in 2 days ( which room was not possible to say ...why ?) So we stayed, not wanting all the fuss.We had booked half board. The first night we arrived at the restaurant ( no lights, nobody there, no staff, no tables dressed !??) After complaint somebody arrived and diner was served. The meat was not eatable and we returned the main dish This bad food was EVERY DAY and after complaining and wanting our money back they refused just gave us a bottle of wine and some fruit platter. We did go to town and payed taxi ( 10€) and food ( 55€) for the next 4 days.Do not order any fancy cocktail ( on their beverage menu) because they even can not make a mojito ... just order beer or gin tonic . If you want the music down as you are having a drink at the pool area and the speaker is next to your chair it is a no go because the staff member replies : she needs music ?!! The only area in the hotel that is nice and has a nice view is the pool area.   Beautiful, peaceful location with amazing staff

  We really enjoyed our six nights at Senses Hotel. The location is beautiful, away from the hustle and bustle of Bodrum town. Staff were so helpful, warm and welcoming. The pool is a lovely, peaceful setting to cool off and relax - the only downside was the drinks by the pool are quite expensive - a lot more than what you pay for down in the town, we would have bought more drinks by the pool had they been cheaper. But overall, we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful location in Bodrum.   Just stayed at the senses hotel for a week and WOW!! The hotel itself is absolutely stunning but what made our stay perfect was all the wonderful staff. Upon arrival, Kaan checked us in at 1:30am while we were all exhausted from our travels. He made us feel so welcomed and had a great energy about him. Okan would always greet us in the morning with a lovely smile and order us taxis to the town. Thank you for that!!! Also a massive thank you to Ali and Metin for always being around to answer questions and being so kind and caring.   This place grows on you !

  Firstly I made the mistake of writing my first review during my stay when we were unhappy with the cleanliness of our room. On reading my review Asst Manager Okan soon rectified this & I realise I should have spoken with him first. Apologies Okan ! We’re now at the end of our holiday & this place really does grow on you! The hotel is pretty with great views over the bay . Our room 131 has a sea view & balcony , not your standard balcony but a quirky triangle . The room is spacious & the bed was very comfortable. As previous reviews have stated lighting is minimal & the largest window is overlooked by other balconies so we had to keep the curtain closed for our privacy .The lighting in the bathroom is much better & there’s a led magnifying mirror for those of us that need it. The shower has good pressure & plenty of hot water. Towels are changed daily. There is sufficient hanging & storage space & plenty of hangers although we always take some with us just in case . We spent our last day at the pool & there was a good vibe , music is subtle & pleasant. Although the drinks are more pricey than in the town the food prices are comparable & is of very good standard. Shout out to Ayhan the pool guy who lays out your towels with a precision I’ve not seen before & even cleans your sunglasses. He’s a real asset to a team that are trying hard to keep their customers happy. Breakfast is continental with some cooked items like eggs & Turkish sausage, you can also order omelettes. Senses is set on the hillside a taxi ride from town ( 200TL per trip) . We ate most nights at ‘Bar Street’ near Kumbahce beach . Take care as they will try & get you to buy their most expensive wines & seafood . Stick to what is on the menu & you can’t go far wrong . Our favourite was Baston’s . Best cocktails were from Nik’s in the centre . Shopping is plentiful but be prepared to barter hard in the ‘ designer’ shops . Our favourite trip was to Cose Beach Club , 20 mins in a taxi .
