Location

The aparthotel is located towards the rear of the busy resort of Gümbet, in an elevated position with great views over the Gumbet bay. The cosmopolitan resort of Bodrum is approximately 2 km away and local transport is a minute's walk with access to the smaller resorts on the Bodrum Peninsula. The beach is around 500 m from the aparthotel and Milas-Bodrum Airport is situated at a distance of approximately 35 km.

Facility

The hotel has 73 apartments and 30 studios located in two 3-storey buildings. The reception desk in the lobby is staffed round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car. Other services include medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry.

Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the double bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. Some rooms offer a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. Other features include a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi. Bathrooms include a hairdryer and are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. Wheelchair-accessible rooms can also be booked.

Sport

Whether in need of rest and relaxation or more activity, guests can swim a few lengths of one of the 2 outdoor pools, while children have a special swimming area just for them. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The pool bar serves a selection of refreshing drinks. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis and beach volleyball are available. Water sports enthusiasts are offered diving. A gym and table tennis or, for a fee, billiards, are among the sport and leisure options available. There is a wellness area with a spa, a hammam and a solarium and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments. At the apartment hotel offers excellent facilities for leisure and relaxation, including an entertainment programme, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Dining facilities include a café and a bar. Guests can enjoy the culinary delights of the non-smoking, air-conditioned restaurant, which provides high chairs for children. Catering options include bed and breakfast and half board. Guests can enjoy a fortifying breakfast (continental) and dinner from the buffet. Alternatively, dishes can be ordered à la carte for dinner.

    Only half the facilities available.Our stay was 12th Oct-26th Oct.This was advertised as a 2 pool & 2 bar hotel, the top bar was never open, about 5th day in they closed the top pool around us, even removing the umbrella we were using! The children's pool is a health hazard with all sorts growing in it. The rubbish in the ground was appalling, no groundsmen to clear up, wouldn't stay if it was free!! As for food, 1 pizza still frozen in middle, 1 omelette still raw in middle

    The Siesta Beach has very few good pointsThe Siesta Beach has a few good points. The bathroom was fully tiled and looked clean, the shower was adaquate and plenty of hot water, however the toilet looked like it needed a good clean with bleach. The general decor of the room was good with painted walls. Good side tables and lamps. It was a one bedroom with 2 bed settees that looked dirty and stained. No wi-fi. The bedroom was a good size but the beds were rock hard and like sleeping on concrete slabs. Kitchen had 2 ring stove, kettle and frying pan, no other pans, no microwave and no toaster. They class the toaster as a similar geoge foreman grill (that was dirty). Bedsheets changed once in 12 days but not pillowcases, towels not changed apart from bathmat. On the balcony 2 plastic chairs one of which was broken and a small square brown dirty/stained table. No cleaning done apart from sweep of lounge floor once and empty of kitchen/bathroom bin everyday. Both pools clean but sunbed mats old worn and dirty. Top pool bar had breakfast but was cold and they do not serve coffee. Also they played loud music which was not very relaxing. The beach is very narrow and pebbely, course sand that stained our towels and same worn dirty sunbed mats. Lack of information from tour operator about area of Gumbet/Bodrum. We were surprised that the walk along the seafront to the main shopping streets there was not one bench to sit on to rest unless you went into one of the 2 bars you pass on the way so no good for anyone with walking difficulties. Little dolmus bus will take you into Bodrum very cheap apart from stop at a bar that charged £11.65 for a coffee and a small beer. I know its a basic resort but with a 3 star rating by the tour operator I think it should be down graded to a 2 star.We have stayed in the 3 star Defne residence in Calis/Fethye wich was lovely, great cleaners, beds made free wi-fi in rooms, towels changed every other day, fully equiped kitchen with microwave everything. We decided to try Bodrum this year but wish we had gone back to Calis. We wont be recommending Siesta Beach to anyone. 2 star at best.

    Rooms were very dated. Had to move room 3 times, as 1st room small and noisy, 2nd room I got stuck in the bathroom and the room flooded. Last room dark with no sunlight. Cleaners not always available..only 1 very helpful male reception staff who worked in the day and was very accommodating.... pool small tooBar noisy and open late and the young bar staff quite intimidating. Lovely bar man in the daytime, young guy and pleasant. WiFi rubbish and only available in reception which was a pain. Have to pay 25 pound for a safe in receptionWould not pick to stay here againBeach across road but dirty and stony but sunbeds free, no surprise there. Loads of stray cats and dogs around tooWould not recommend staying here, won't be back...

    Dangerous to be at siesta apartments

    Myself and my daughter came to siesta apartments early October for just over 2 weeks firstly we were put in a studio apartment instead of the one we booked ok can live with that,however the shower ceiling had really bad mould on it and the toilet wouldn't flush also the shower dripped really bad when off so not enough hot water for showers 😒Our electrics cut out 3 times when we reported it the guy who came to flip the switch said its being over used 😆 we boiled the kettle a couple times,but ok.Never really had a problem with staff they were nice enough 😕 said hi and bye and that.We woke to our apartment full of smoke choking and in tears turns out the hairdryer in the bathroom melted all on its own we were left on balcony for hours because the room was unbreathable in the end I kicked up a fuss so the changed our apartment 4 days before we were flying out and low and behold it was into an apartment we should of started with complained to the apartment people and love holidays but they just kept passing the buck you live and learn wont book with love holidays again and definitely won't be at siesta apartments again we love the views and know people in turkey so our holiday weren't spoilt persay just learnt a dangerous lesson and we're thankful im a light sleeper because who knows what would of happened 🤔 the guy said it was the electrics 😡 totally disgusting and very dangerous 😳 never again.

    this is our 3rd visit here got a studio apartment near the pool area not much walking like previous times when we was put at the back of the building with a lot of stairs to contend with obstacle course springs to mind not good if you have mobility issues so beware where they put you room basic but clean tv broken but was changed same day overall not bad for the price we paid but like others have stated in there feedback needs a good makeover
