  Bad experience, dirty hotel, arrogant abusive manager

  When we arrived the elderly man on duty had no idea how to check our pre booking. I sked if I could use their rest room and he said no the rooms are all full. I explained I just wanted to use their reception rest room. He ignored me. Ultimately a younger man came along and showed me where the rest room was, it was dirty.We returned to the hotel at the end of a days tour and shown our room. There was a dirty stain on the cover of the bed. I went downstairs and asked the manager to change the cover which he did.We then noticed there was mould on the ceiling, a broken window and the bathroom floor was filthy. I had wiped a damp face wipe on the floor and it was black.We rang our agent and asked them to get us out of there.The elderly man came to our room and started being aggressive and argumentative. Our agent told us the hotel was offering another room and we needed to look at it. We did, it was better but still not clean. Our agent found us another Hotel close by, Lucky Cave Hotel which was very clean and welcoming.When my partner tried to return the key at Goreme House Hotel the elderly man refused to take it so my partner left it on the desk.This was a horrible experience. There are 100s of hotels in Goreme. Book elsewhere.

  You can forget about sleep

  Goreme House is conveniently located, has good breakfast, and helpful staff. Unfortunately, however, the wood floors are basically sounding boards that turn every evening and morning into a thundering herd. If you try to go to bed early, you will be awakened by folks coming back from the bars and restaurants at 11-12 pm. Then at 4:30 am, the ballooners get up and stomp around for an hour or so before they finally take off. Maybe this noise is not so much of a problem on the upper floors, but on the lower floors, it is a living hell.

  Incredible experience!

  During our visit to Cappadocia, we had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel in the center of Goreme town. Constructed with unique local stone bricks (known for natural temperature control), our room was a cozy and warm sanctuary during the chilly evenings, while providing a cool respite from the scorching heat outside during daytime. Key highlight - our room offered a breathtaking daily spectacle of hot air balloons gracefully ascending on the horizon each morning. Breakfast on the terrace featured an impressive spread, and the staff member overseeing breakfast was very understanding and accommodating of requests. The entire staff, with a special nod to the manager, demonstrated exceptional hospitality throughout our stay.By the way, the manager of the neighboring Diamond hotel owns a '64 Mustang, adding an interesting touch to our memorable stay.

  The hotel location is perfect! The hotel manager and other staffs are very welcoming and accommodating. Our flight was late night and they allowed us to stay in their reception area while waiting for pick up transfer. The hotel is clean, breakfast is great. Taffy the lovely dog in the hotel is really cute and makes everyone pet him. Definitely recommending this place to those who are planning to visit cappadocia.

  Such a quiet, quaint experience with amazing hosts and a lovely chilled out area. Big breakfast selection and very friendly staff that are super helpful and always providing exceptional tips on what to do in the area
