Not the best. Not the worst, but definitely not the best.

    rating29 Apr 2026

This hotel was disappointing. The location was good, very central, and this was the main factor when booking it. Originally, we were told we would be provided with 2 doubles beds in a suite. We got there and were told we (my mother and I) were sharing a bed, and then were given a room with a pullout couch. The couch opened into two single cot style beds, not one double bed as we had been advised. There was a large gap between them and the mattresses were very hard. When pressed to provide 2 beds instead of 1 per the booking, the receptionist became very cold and impolite. In fact, throughout the booking we were never greeted by any of the staff when coming or going through the hotel - no good morning or hello, which came across very rudely. The rooms were also quite dirty - the skirting boards in the bathroom and toilet were coated with a thick layer of grey dust. The air conditioning was very mediocre and turned off in the night so you woke up in a sweat. The televisions are from the last century, the breakfast is overpriced for what I can assume was reconstituted eggs, the elevator was broken half the time we were there, and the washing machine and dryer were overpriced. I’m sure you can find a better experience elsewhere, but this neighborhood is recommended.

    Lyon with friends

    rating09 Mar 2026

This is a very centrally located property that offers everything one could need. We were 2 friends travelling together and the apartment style room offers a much larger space than a standard hotel room. The kitchenette is a bonus for making coffee or tea and keeping drinks in the fridge. The bathroom although older had multiple shelves for all our toiletries and the water pressure in the shower was great. We did not have breakfast at the property as there are many options just outside the door. The whole area is surrounded by restaurants and bars but the window glazing keeps the noise out. The old town is easily walkable as is most of Lyon. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we would definitely return to stay at this property next time we are in Lyon. Sébastien LECLERCQ, Directeur général at Citadines Presqu'Ile Lyon, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback. We are delighted that you appreciated our central location, the spacious apartment, and the convenience of the kitchenette. It is also great to hear that the soundproof windows allowed you to enjoy the lively neighborhood while still having a quiet stay.We look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit to Lyon !

    Best Location

Pros:Hotel is in a really good location. Walkable to most places, and a lot of resto options nearby. Deluxe studio’s 25sqm felt quite big, layout was perfectly planned.Front desk people were all accommodating.Cons:No daily housekeeping if you stay for a few days only—which seems to be the ideal number of days for a visit to Lyon.Water pressure seemed quite weak in the shower. Jérémy PETRAS, Directeur général at Citadines Presqu'Ile Lyon, responded to this review Dear Wendy L,We thank you for your recent stay at Citadines Lyon Presqu’île and for taking the time to share your review. We are happy you’ve enjoyed your stay and would be even happier to welcome you back sometime in the future!Citadines Presqu’ile Team

The good.Breakfast was reasonable. Breakfast staff not so much. The location is great! The bad.Our rooms smeltThe lifts smeltLifts are slowwwwPlace is filthy.Air con dosnt really work, we had one that dripped all over floor and the other looked like it’s installed upside down and pushes the air into the ceiling from just below the ceiling.Couldn’t open the windows at night as it had rained and the mosquitos would attack us…so we sweated and just put up with it.Bed was hard - I like that - wife didn’t…but not really a complaint just fyi.Location is hard for taxi/uber. Will not be staying here again and was counting down the minutes to get out of there.Place needs a do over. Jérémy PETRAS, Directeur général at Citadines Presqu'Ile Lyon, responded to this review Dear dayne b,We thank you for your recent stay at Citadines Presqu’île Lyon and for taking the time to share your review. We are sorry to see that we did not meet your expectations. Your experience does not reflect what we want to offer our guests: a quality service and great memories. 4 night work trip

First time in Lyon. Super location near old architecture and restaurant row and drinking location and close for shuttle pick ups and Uber. Cool cobblestone streets.Lobby is like an old college dorm center.zero character. 2 elevators worked well.. hallways were lit ok… doors are not in order so be alert.Inside room has nice bed and comfy. Kitchenette was good to have.. w sink, small fridge, micro and dishwasher.. a plus… negative was any room decor and bathroom could use some paint.. could have also used more towels. Room came with a Rowenta fan and windows openers inward to see outside well and get fresh air.. I would stay again for the bed and the location.. the WiFi is free, but hard to stay active and work w. VPN… merci!:) Jérémy PETRAS, Directeur général at Citadines Presqu'Ile Lyon, responded to this review Dear Mark68nj, Thank you for your recent stay at Citadines Presqu'île Lyon and for taking the time to share your review.
