    A lovely holiday 😁

    rating20 May 2026

Lovely family run hotel. Simple rooms but perfect for a quiet holiday. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Set away from the main road with views of the mountains. We loved the peace and quiet and unspoilt views.Local restaurants on the main road, 5-10 minutes walk or bus ride into Hisaranou or Olu Deniz. Buses are frequent and low cost.

Beautiful grounds, pool and mountains all around.

    rating20 Oct 2025

The hotel has such excellent reviews that I did not hesitate to book, and was looking forward to an amazing hotel. I was a little disappointed in the room, as it was smaller than it appears in the photos, and being at the back it did not get any sun on the balcony. This is probably a bonus in summer, but was quite cold end of season. I was here in october, so the hotel was very quiet. The pool area, breakfast room and grounds are beautiful. Simple breakfast, boiled eggs, cheese, meat, toaster, cereal ect. You can pay extra for cooked items. Always plenty of food, even with so few guests.Location is 5 minute walk from the main road in Ovacik, with many big supermarkets, and a few restaurants and bars. Hisaronou is much bigger, more touristic and only 10 minutes to walk. The dolmus to fethyie and oludeniz leave every 5 minutes or so. A 15 minute journey costing 48 lira. There are also regular buses to kayakoi ghost village and faralya. I stayed previously in calis beach area, and missed walking along the promenade to watch the sunset. The surrounding mountains here are beautiful though and popular with walkers. I used the dolmus every day, and although it's cheap, it soon adds up. The main issue with hotel is they do not appear to have a boiler and rely purely on solar heat. On rainy days, therefore there is no hot water. However the shower itself was a huge rain shower inside a cubicle. it is very friendly, small hotel, I had a lovelly stay here. Owners were so helpful and let me keep my room on as I had a very late flight. Would I stay here again? Yes. Definitely.

Disappointing Stay at What We Thought Would Be a Hidden Gem

    rating14 Oct 2025

Disappointing Stay at What We Thought Would Be a Hidden GemAfter reading many positive reviews, we genuinely believed we’d found a great-value hidden gem. The idea of an adult-only hotel sounded perfect — but unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. We arrived around 10 p.m. and were greeted at the bar, where we bought a drink before being shown to our room. Unfortunately, that’s where the disappointment began. The room was extremely small, with a tired-looking divan bed and mosquito stains splattered on the walls. The bathroom and shower were combined, with the shower head positioned directly above the toilet — meaning that every time you showered, the toilet and floor were completely soaked. It made using the toilet afterward very unpleasant. To make matters worse, the toilet seat was broken and kept falling off, while the lid had been removed and was propped up on the floor beside it. Overall, the setup felt unhygienic and poorly maintained.Hot water was another major issue. In 10 days, I managed just two warm showers, and other guests were experiencing the same problem. The worst part, however, was the constant sewage smell from the bathroom. It was so unpleasant that I couldn’t even brush my teeth in there and had to cover my face with a towel whenever I used the toilet.Breakfast was disappointing too. The buffet consisted mainly of bread, boiled eggs, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese, melon, and basic cereals. I ended up eating toast and honey most mornings. A cooked breakfast was available for an additional £8 per person per day, which seemed excessive. The pool area was fine, and sunbeds were always available, but the atmosphere was lifeless — no music or energy. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, and taxis were easily accessible from the button right outside the hotel (around £4 each way). The main strip is about a 20-minute walk away.I’ve travelled extensively through Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam and am used to basic accommodation — I don’t expect luxury. But this was, sadly, the only holiday I’ve ever wanted to go home from. What was described as a “hidden gem” turned out to be a huge disappointment.

The good, the bad and the ugly.

    rating19 Sept 2025

The good:- Great hotel and staff. comfortable beds. Located on the far side of Ovacik away from all the noise from the bars in Hisaronu, nice and peaceful. Typical 3* Turkish hotel, very clean and well maintained gardens. Plenty of sunbeds for those wishing to sunbathe. Special shout out to ilyas who was very helpful as were all of the staff. The food was excellent but mainly English food. I go on holiday to eat what the locals eat. I can eat English food all year in the UK. I spent most of my time out exploring the local cuisine and meeting up with friends and people I know in the vicinity. All I require is a comfortable bed and a clean room, so no complaints from me. The Turkish style buffet breakfast is one of the best ive seen, really good choice and something for everyone.. The bad:- Not a lot to be honest apart from the local Mosque about 200 meters away. Far enough away but I am a little hard of hearing lol.The ugly:- John Gillings a guest from HELL Fortunately he wont be coming back, enough said.Conclusion:- Yes I recommend this hotel.

    Just gets better every year!!

Fell upon this place over 8 years ago and have come back every year, same staff every year, which make you feel like friends not a visitor, all staff can’t do enough for you, illyas even gets in my favourite beer which they don’t normally sell!! My wife caught a bug this year and they couldn’t do enough to help, made soup and even got room service!! The food is amazing all freshly prepared and reasonably priced. bar, pool and tables all kept clean and even get the option of cake at 2pm every day by the bakery 😅 only 30 mins from the main centre but lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance
