    Tired, dirty, disappointed

    4.8“Disappointed ”We booked for 7 nights 25th Jan 25 The hotel needs a complete update it is very tired looking and unkempt. The reception area is in need of some TLC and is basic. Breakfast is basic but plentiful and coffee machine is nice. The room was clean but in need of update and tired decor. The bathroom was very shabby with rotten woodwork and rusty shower fittings though the water always hot. The whole outside grounds and seating area’s were very unkempt and overgrown, the pools were very dirty. The accommodation was more like a hostel and seemed to be mainly used by single males who seemed to be locals. It was noisy at night with TVs at a high volume until 2 or 3 am along with men talking until the early hours making it difficult to sleep. Needless to say we cut short our stay and moved hotels on the 3rd day .30 Jan 2025

    An utter disaster

    We had the most catastrophic experience in three weeks of travel across Türkiye. The room we were given was horrible. It was not easily accessible. It was dirty. The door did not lock (key was broken inside lock before we arrived.) They were not able to fix it. At 9pm, the two people they brought to fix the door had abandoned. The person in charge (who was not even there and spoke to us over the phone) told us it was fine and that in one hour it will be fixed. So we had to stay in the room until 10pm waiting for them to fix it. The room was on the groundfloor. Note that the hotel has two entrances that were not through the reception and do not have doors. Anyone could basically walk in.In one of the drawers, we found mice poop and insects. The bathroom had no window. And damp was everywhere. This is what made us decide not to suffer it anymore. They were overbooked and gave us any room until a decent one was freed the next day. This is utterly irresponsible. The place itself looked cheap, which we would not have minded had it been clean. So don't trust the photos. It is not family friendly. Probably if you are young and careless, you might not even pay attention. If you have children, this is not for you.We asked for a refund. The hotel argued a lot before refunding one out two nights we booked. We booked through Booking.com. We will report the hotel and hopefully they will do something about this.

    A decent place to stay

    Ask for the room on the second floor with a pool view, you won't regret it a bit. Great, helpful, and professional staff! Just a few minutes on foot to the quay, and from that point you have two options either turn left and walk for about 20 minutes to the old town or turn right and have a stroll towards the beach (around 40 minutes walk) . WiFi works just fine, so it won't be an issue. The room was fine, everything was proper. Breakfast was alright :)

    I stayed at Kilim Hotel for 8 days in January. The hotel exceeded my expectations as a budget priced hotel. The location is great just a block back from the beautiful waterfront promenade in Fethiye and a short walk to busses to visit surrounding areas.The breakfast buffet is generous and fresh Mediterranean food and also cereal and bread and spreads are available.My hotel room was spacious and I loved the little balcony to dry clothes and get some fresh air. The pool area is beautiful and would love to come back in warmer weather for a swim.The wifi signal is very strong and allowed me to conduct work zoom calls with no drop out.The staff were friendly and helpful with suggested activities to do and also what busses to catch. My towel rail in the bathroom came loose and I mentioned it to the receptionist and it was fixed immediately which really impressed me.I'll be back.

    A relaxing short break

    In a quiet residential area( so you need google maps on first day !) a bit of a walk to attractions but can pick up a bus at the end of the road to the old town or to the beach. Pool was open and warm enough to swim in. Small balcony of the room. Good breakfast. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance . Weather could have been better but staff helpful. Early in season so quiet but that was how we like it!
