  Paid for a sea view but got a parking lot view (see photos of views from room 101)

  One of the worst hotel experience in our 40 years of travel to 93 countries and our 5th trip to Turkey. On arrival at about 8 pm on October 11, 2025; the receptionist sat and watched us 2 seniors struggled with our luggage up the steps from 3 meters away and refused to offer help. We were assigned room 101 with a parking lot view despite paying for a sea-view room. We mentioned that we had requested a brighter room on a higher floor because my wife is legally blind in our booking with Hotel.com but the receptionist said he had NO record of such request. He then demanded that we show him the evidence! When we did provide a print-out of our request he told us to contact Hotel.com directly as he has NO such record from Hotel.com! In addition, he blamed us for NOT making the request directly with the hotel and berated us in front of 4 other guests. Room 101 has a view of the busy, noisy street; trees and parked cars across the street and zero view of the sea/harbor. The door lock of the French balcony is broken and anyone can easily access the unit from the street and we hardly slept with this insecurity issue. Temperature control in the room is next to non-existent. Breakfast area is so tiny and we had to wait for our turn for a seat. All in all a terrible stay and we suggest Hotel.com should review their request procedure in light of this mishap. Given all of the above, and the gross the room deception from what is advertised, we should deserve a full refund from this hotel.   Great stay! Rooms very clean, spatious and modern finishes. Good breakfast in cozy cafe downstairs. Hosts were wonderful, so kind and helpful. Located close to harbour, yachts, paspatur (old city with many shops) and must-see fishmarket. If you want to stay closer to the beach (Çalış) then you should not stay in this part of city. Everything easily accessible via dolmus. La Farine rooms highly recommended.   Great, but a little hard to find, gem!

  I’ll mention the one tiny negative first: it’s kind of hard to tell where the entrance to the hotel is when entering the address into google maps. The La Farine Patisserie is on the ground floor on one street and the hotel reception is on the 3rd floor of the street behind the building. It was a little confusing. We ended up putting the address into Google Earth and looking for other landmarks to narrow down where to enter the hotel. That said, the staff was wonderful. They accommodated our request for a later checkout and were very pleasant. The room had a beautiful view and good A/C for the warm, humid days. The patisserie on the ground floor offered a variety of coffee options and sweet treats. There’s a grocery store immediately across the street for any necessary items.   Great hotel & wonderful patisserie. They get their beans from Belgium. Come here to get your Italian Expresso - best in Turkiye! Us Australians are very fussy thanks to our lovely Italian imports. Also cakes like San Sebastion, red velvet, lemon cheesecake, chocolate with profiterole sauce.   Friendly Staff, Hotel Just OK

  My wife and I spent 2 nights at La Farine in the deluxe suite with sea view and thought it was adequate but not exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful, and they offered 5* service. However, the room and hotel were not at the same level.Room lights and a/c were controlled by key card, and even with the key card inserted, the a/c turned off frequently. The balcony had a good view, but it was not possible to keep the small spa filled with enough water to enjoy soaking. The deluxe suite was up a flight of stairs from the last elevator stop, and navigating the steps was challenging because the lights did not turn on right away.Breakfast was sufficient but seemed light by Turkish standards. We thought a patisserie would include baked goods with breakfast, but they all came at an extra charge. We tried croissants and were underwhelmed; even the ones at Costco are better than these.Street parking was incredibly challenging, but staff were exceedingly helpful in this regard. We also liked La Farine's proximity to good restaurants. However, if we come back to Fethiye, we'll likely stay elsewhere.
