1 week stay in Orka Platinum Villa 10

    rating07 Jun 2023

POSITIVES: I stayed here for 1 week in May 2023 with my partner, our 20 month old, my mum and step dad. The villa itself is in a great location next to the mountain. We had sun on the pool area for majority of the day/evening, apart from when there was the odd cloudy day. We were in Villa 10 of the Orka platinum villas. There is multiple in the same area. The villa had everything you could need for a relaxing holiday, and it is only a 7-10 minute drive from the main area of Oludeniz. There is also lots of other shops and restaurants closer by. I would recommend a vehicle. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would come again. CONS: On arrival to the villa which was around 3am as we had a late flight. There was no one to greet us. We were never informed by TUI that we would need to go straight to the Orka reception (which is not located near the villa) this was about 1.5km away from the villa. Once we got the keys and finally entered our villa, we were confused to find a WIFI router but no code or password. It does not clearly state on the TUI website that this villa doesn't come with WIFI. We were told (after a 2nd phone call to TUI) to wait until 10am and then to call the Orka reception regarding the WIFI. After doing this we learned that the villa doesn't come with WIFI. Therefore we had to purchase a WIFI dongle from a local business for £5 per day plus a £50 refundable deposit. Also our check out was around 11am for this villa (which I wasn't informed of by TUI) so we had to pay for another apartment somewhere else just to store our cases until we needed to leave for the airport in the evening. To add the pool is a little on the cool side, it could do with a heater. All the extra information I obtained regarding the Orka Platinum Villa was from them directly (not TUI), after joining a Facebook group.

    Great Villa terrible service

    rating19 Aug 2017

What a terrible service. Overbooked at arrival. Possible, but compensation for this inconvenience was a free meal. We negociated drinks included and enjoyed our 1st dinner in Turkey, the poor buffet couldn`t hold us from joy together with our friends and our two daughters ( 4 adults, 2 11 year old girls). Next day firts to the swimming pool of the hotel before we wree transfered to our Villa just up the hill.Villa was not clean when we arrived around 14.00 hours. Inconvenience again, BUT a very nice Villa.Exploring our home for two weeks we found out that we had not enough glasses, plates, knifes and forks for 6 people and no hairdryer. We contacted Mo ( Mohammed) at the poolbar , he called to the hotel and everything was to be "Okay" soon. After 2 days we got the kitchen equipment, after 3 days of remindering we got the hairdryer installed in a unsafe way in our bathroom.During these first days we were provided 3 towels mid size and 3 small sized towels. No toilet paper was distrubited to us.We asked for more towels. The result was they took all our towels and did not replace a single one of them. WE found out on Sunday night, called reception right away. Monday asked Mo at the poolbar and the Guest relation lady who looked nice but didn`t a thing in our situation.Tuesdayevening after dinner a went to the hotel using the shuttle service. I asked for a manager and a few minutes later the Sales & Marketing manager showed up. I told him the service Orka provided didn`t make a 2 star level. We were asking for basics nothing more.He arranged a towel drop off the same night and promised he would take care for better service.I told him I expected a reaction from management with some compensation for the inconvenience during our first week. Friday evening I went to the hotel to ask if they had any reaction already. The days after my complaint nothing changed. No toiletpaper, only towels if we wnet after them.I was invited to the Managers office. "Sorry" we will do better the rest of your stay and we will invite you and your family to dinner in our buffet restaurant.I was looking for a "sorry" and took the dinner as compensation. Our last monday we were at the hotel ready for our dinner. Nobody knew we were coming though. We arranged a table for 6 by putting two tables together and explaned the staff we were invited by the manager.Later the manager arrived at our table to welcome us. "everything Okay" he asked.Few minutes later a came back he put his hand on my shouler wispering in my ear that food was complementary but I had to pay for the drinks. I didn`t want to argu with my kids hearing everything so I walked to the reception desk with the manager and told him we would leave right away.We had a very nice holiday. Weather is great, we enjoyed the local restaurants and the hospitality of the people we met.Orka however showed nothing of that. Service very poor. Never did was they promised. Insulting guests by behaving in a very inpolite way.Go to Turkey ( Lycia is so beautifull) but do not book at Orka Park or Orka Hotels in Fethiye.

    Wow... Just wow!

    rating26 May 2013

We went here last summer.. Our second visit to turkey. The villa was amazing, one of the best places we have ever stayed. The villa was a good size, the villa had a large open plan kitchen/dining area / lounge. The kitchen was fully equipped and very spacious. up stairs was 3 reasonable sized bed rooms, two with double beds and one with two single beds. All rooms had a large wardrobe and plenty of storage space and a dressing table. All rooms had a good sized balcony overlooking the pool and spectacular mountainous views. The location was amazing, the villa was located on a large mountain and the views were breathtaking. The villa also had a large sized garden which was looked after very well and a great pool. The poolside had several sun loungers which were perfect for relaxing by the pool. The villa also had a good sized patio area equipped with a garden table and chairs which is great for eating outside. The villa also had a barbecue which was a fab extra which we used a few times in the holiday. The villa also had a drive way where you can park your car. I would recommend you hired a car as the villa is quite a fair way from the restaurants, bars and beaches. The only criticism about the villa is that every day several times a day there were continuous power cuts meaning at night we were sat in pitch black. At first it was quite annoying but we soon got used to it. During the holiday we went out every day and our favourite place to visit was oludeniz beach. Oludeniz also has a blue lagoon which you do have to pay to go into, it's very worth it though. It wasent a long car drive either, about 15-20 minutes in the car.We also visited saklikent gorge which was an amazing day out. It is quite a drive, about an hour in the car but well worth it. It was an adventurous day out and had breathtaking views. You were able to walk up the gorge which is quite difficult at times because of the strong current. Also you just wear appropriate foot wear, preferably water shoes or trainers. The full walk takes between 1.30 hours and 3 hours. Depending on how fast you walk. There is also several restaurants there that serve a variety of Turkish food. We also went rafting on the gorge which was amazing! We also visited fethiye market were you can buy anything from cheep fruits and veg to fake designer bags and clothes.Overall the platinum villas were a great place to say. I would definatly recommend to a friend! 5*
