Location

Most of the historical attractions of Istanbul are either within a five-minute walk or can be easily reached by different means of transportation. The nearest train station is roughly a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Some of the most famous sights in the environs of the hotel include Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Underground Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Ancient Hippodrome and Obelisk.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 6-storey building with a lift and 31 non-smoking rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Most units include a balcony with sea views, where guests can relax and linger a while. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a plug adapter, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) ensure optimal comfort. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. After an eventful day, guests can work out and recharge in the gym.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    We took a basic room, not expensive, but it was a great location, clean, and the bed was comfortable and the shower hot, and there was plenty of space. The breakfast was excellent, and the coffee good (not always the case in Istanbul). Best service staff ever. I have never before met more friendly, helpful or obliging reception staff.

    Recital Hotel is situated close to a lot of key attractions with an array of restaurants and cafes close by. Rooms are spacious and well cleaned. And while it was too rainy to utilise the terrace, knowing it’s there is a big bonus. Beds comfortable also. Downside is at nights you could constantly hear water, like a toilet being flushed. So was very difficult to sleep. And breakfast felt more like a staff room than guest space. With staff constantly coming in and out for food and drinks for themselves, eating at the tables etc.

    The location is perfect! Literally sitting one street towards the blue mosque and the other towards the grand bazar. Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff and their breakfast staff were the best serving a beautiful breakfast every morning!     Great location. Very close to ‘attractions’ but didn’t feel too ‘touristy’. AMAZING terrace bar view.
