    Good for price, relatively clean, friendly stuff. 10mins. to metro. Close to clinics and useful for such kind of trips. Ask for parking place if you travel with car.     Wonderful 3 star hotel in Istanbul

    I came to Istanbul 3 times for medical purposes and always stayed in Semsan. The location is perfect for this subject. Besides, I felt like I was in my home with the helpful staff. If I come back I will again stay here. Great breatfast and newly renovated rooms and perfect capable housekeepers.     A very clean and cozy hotel. The staff is responsive, attentive, conscientious, and genuinely courteous.     Hotel is clean, safe and quite. Rooms may not be as large as one would like them to be, but that's not a real issue (you're in one of Istanbul's most vibrant locations, what's the point of spending it in a room?). Front desk staff (Hakan and Ahmet) are polite, prompt and very helpful. Breakfast is basic/standard; nothing fancy but it includes pretty much everythign you'd expect in your brteakfast. For $50/day with two twin beds at this specific location, your stay won't get any better than this (you can certainly go for a fancier $150-200/day room elsewhere if that's what you're into).

    Second stay at Semsan was horrible

    Came back for a week, this time with a toddler. I don't even know where to start..definetely not going back. We asked for a room change because the first we got was dirty. Second room was obly a little bit better, but we still cleaned it ourselves in order to be acceptable for a toddler. Sheets had holes, air conditioning did a crazy noise.
