  The hotel was in a good location but you could almost say it was more of a guesthouse than a hotel. The internet was very weak and intermittent, the noise from other rooms came into the room and there were generally loud people there. The facilities were very poor. The fridge was broken and there was no toothpaste. The heating was set automatically. You couldn't turn it on or off yourself. Unfortunately, the breakfast, unlike the photo posted on TripAdvisor, is not at that location at all and is not that kind of breakfast at all.

  This could not be worst,super noisy rooms (rooms that face the alley),there are restaurants and a disco in the neighbourhood that they play their music too loud and ppl laugh and scream till 5-6 am ,the doors are badly closed so u have to shut them fast so the noise vibrates all the room and also the other rooms,u can clearly hear ppl passing,talking and laughing any where around,i had a 5night stay and we had warm water for 2 first days!!!! The worst part is the staff who dont coorporate at all and just were stairing rudely,bad breakfast and u should beg for a knife or even a plate,the menu was boiled egg, 2types of cheese,2types of bad sausages,jam without butter!! And a bad tea,sliced cucumber and ugly tomatos! And milk, No water or other cold drinks at all, at last i recommend not to take this one instead of telling u why,beacause this a long story😕

  The most terrible hotel ever!!

  Well, this so called hotel is the worst one I’ve ever seen in my life!This place is more of a hostel, it shouldn’t be called a hotel at all! The rooms are unbelievably small and dirty, everything is old an worn out! It has been my worst hotel experience so far! Couldn’t be more disappointed!!

  Cons:1- No window in the room2-No aircondition ! hot as a hell in Summer.3-insects: small insect flying in the room!4-no minibar, not tea, nothingat all5-dirty bathroom! have not been cleaned.6-used soap!7-broken door of bathhroom8-no safe box !!!!9-no refrigrator !!10- too much noisy(noise of other guests and rooms i could hear them clearly behind my door)11-awful restuarant space!!! worst12-worst breakfast. dirty glasses, bad smell, workers and waiters sit near your table with dirty shirts and eat beside your table!!!pros: 1- near taksim. very good locationSo, warning! never book this hotel its 1 star maybe.I asked then to fix aircondition, more than 8 times they come and try but it became broken each time again! air condition was physically damaged and had a danger to fall down on the floor!!! after 1 day I changed my roon. new room had safebox, window and air condition, clean comparing to the first room, but insects were in the air I killed more than 10 insects in the room!!!!!!!

  Down below is my review of Taksim Cuento Hotel: (First week of July 2019)Pros: 1. Very Close to Taksim square where all the action is happening in the European side of Istanbul.2. Good breakfast. (Self service / plenty of different foods to choose from)3. Clean blankets, bed sheets and pillow sheets.4. The bathroom itself (besides the door of it, which I'll talk about down below in the cons) was goodCons: 1. Overpriced. really, really overpriced, considering the service you get. ( $93 per night for a double room in the first week of July 2019)2. There was no refrigerator in our room which was such a bummer. 3. The air con was broken 4 days out of 7 days of our stay at the hotel.4. Almost one third of the breakfast dishes were dirty.5. The carpet in our room was dirty.6. There was no window in our room so we had some rough times with ventilation.(don't let the photos of the hotel on these websites fool you. Half of the rooms don't have a window)7. The bathroom door was missing the handle and the lock so it kept open. We had some tough times while pooping. 8. We asked them multiple times to fix the air con and also bring us a little refrigerator, but all we got from them was nothing. (poor service)9. There is no safe box in the rooms, so forget about leaving your valuable stuff in your room.
