  We stayed at Madi Otel during our visit to Izmir while exploring the historic area of Smyrna. Booking was easy and check-in was smooth. However, there was an issue at first: we had reserved a double room with carpet, but were initially given a different room.To be fair, the staff was very accommodating. Although check-in was officially at 2 p.m., our room was already available when we arrived early, and they let us check in right away. Once we realized we were placed in the wrong room, I reported it to the front desk and they quickly switched us to the correct one.The location was chosen specifically because it was close to the train station, as we planned to travel to Selçuk the next day. It’s also near the Konak area, great for walking tours, though it is a bit farther from the main bus terminal and other central points.Breakfast was simple but decent. I can’t say whether the hotel has a pool or gym, as that wasn’t a priority for us. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was fine, though we experienced a leak in the ceiling. I reported it, and the staff offered to change our room again, but since we had already moved once, I chose to stay. By the next morning, the leak had stopped, probably due to something from the room above.The staff was very kind and always willing to help, which made a positive impact on our stay. The price is a bit high for what is offered, but I noticed that most hotels in Izmir are a bit more expensive. Still, I would recommend Madi Otel for its helpful staff and practical location.

  ‏ ‏In October 2024, I traveled to this hotel with a group of friends and family. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The hotel receptionist was very hospitable and polite, and he was very kind to us, providing a lot of assistance. He guided us properly. The hotel rooms were well-organized. The bathroom and toilet were clean. There were neat towels and disposable slippers in the rooms. A tea service along with an electric kettle was provided in the room. Overall, we were very satisfied with our two-day stay.

  Brilliant location , in the heart of everything. Basic room but was clean. Slept like a log every night. Down side was room only had 4 clothes hangers and I had trouble getting into room with a slighty faulty door lock. Staff were brilliant and very friendly.

  Location is very good but a little noisy.Breakfast was enough. Clean room and Bath .There was kettle and coffee in room .Hotel hadn't parking and staff take your car to private parking far from hotel that could be unpleasant.

  Spacious rooms at a good price

  We stayed here with our two kids (1&5 yrs). Had a room w double bed and an extra bed they didnt charge for it. It's very hard to find a car parking yourself. They offer free parking vale (they take your car and put somewhere else. they say one of the two car parks they had agreement). Breakfast was satisfying. Only I strongly can critisize was the cleaning of the room. It was not clean and I didnt feel confortable when I didnt wear at my feet. The floor covering seemed to have dirt of months. There is complimentary coffee&tea at the room by a kettle. Staff was neat and smiling.
