    Amazing from start to finish Spotlessly clean in the ROOMS and out IN THE GARDENS ,POOL AREA, BAR AND TOILETS All Staff are fantastic and very good at their jobs one and ALL, they certainly make your stay MEMORABLE ,AMAZING PEOPLE ONE Thing that could make the stay POSSIBLE Better would be an EVENING MEAL AT THE HOTEL MAYBE ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK BARBECUE NIGHT OR MAYBE A SET MENU MEAL.     Absolutely lovely hotel. Staff make you feel like friends from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect. 10 min walk ( flat) into Dalyan where the friendliness continues, the locals are not pushy at all about selling, just really friendly. Prices are very reasonable in Portakal hotel. This is a boutique size hotel, they keep pool music mellow, guests do not reserve sunbeds. We had tbe most lovely holiday and would recommend fully.     Decided we would try Dalyan just as the season opened, and boy it didn't disappoint! Back to the Portakal again, and it's had a few upgrades during the winter. That's one thing I have to say about the owners Cuneyt & Mehtap, they are always looking for ways to make their visitors stay more comfortable. This season the pool has been retiled, giving it an 'ocean' effect and the bar has had a facelift. Also new this season is some very comfy outdoor seating and the addition of a pool table! Great to see all the regular staff back in attendance, and this time it was great to see some old faces we had met before! Special mentions to Eyup for always going above and beyond for us and to the main man Ramazan for being the entertainment as usual . Great hotel and staff, can't wait to come back!!     I carried out extensive research before booking this hotel as I was travelling solo to Dalyan for the first time, and from the reviews I read, this hotel ticked all the boxes of my criteria. It is fairly small, which I like, but very friendly, and situated in a very picturesque location, which was at least for me a mere 8 minute flat walk into town. The rooms are cosy and attractive, with plenty of strategically placed sockets, a fridge and kettle. The shower room is attractive and the actual shower very efficient. The whole hotel is incredibly clean and well maintained, with staff working constantly to upkeep the high standards. Without doubt, the staff are its greatest asset, from the warmest of greetings you get from the wonderful Eyup and Ibrahim on reception, to the daily hugs from the cleaners and everyone in the catering and bar areas.I felt extremely safe and respected as a solo lady guest and would not hesitate to stay at the hotel again.As mentioned previously by other guests, I would recommend bringing a few hangers as there are only a few in the wardrobes. The only negative I could think of is the lack of balconies should this be a deal breaker for anyone. Life is full of compromises though and for me this was something I was prepared to forego to enjoy all the advantages of this lovely hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.     Great hotel made brilliant by special staff

    Lovely hotel, made special by the great staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they go above and beyond to ensure you're happy and comfortable. Reception guys are brilliant as is Rams on the bar and Mahmood at breakfast. There's a big selection at breakfast and the cook does a fantastic job. The rooms are cleaned daily and are spacious and have a large bathroom. Only thing we would have liked is somewhere to get a good snack early evening and sit with a good coffee. Everywhere seems to install press and go coffee machines which never taste great.It's not far into town though, about a 10 to 15 minute walk. It felt very homely for a hotel so we'd definitely come here again. The pool in April is too cold to use but would be great any other time of year.
