Location

This hotel is located on the eastern cliff of Bournemouth, only 3 streets behind the crag with a stunning view of the bay as well as the endless long beach. These are all within 5 minutes of the hotel. The city centre, with its numerous offers of restaurants, bars and clubs as well as shopping opportunities, is only around 10 minutes on foot from the hotel. Touristic highlights include the pier, the pavilion theatre, the IMAX cinema as well as Bournemouth International Centre and the Oceanarium. The train station is around 10 minutes away and offers the opportunity to visit other cities such as Poole and Southampton.

Facility

56 non-smoking rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     We arrived at the hotel to check in on the afternoon of our stay 24th May.We were unable to check in until 3pm but were told to check our car in to the car park. After a day out we arrived back to the hotel to check in, get a shower and change of clothes to go out for our wedding anniversary meal. At the desk the lady told us that our booking was in fact a scam from Spain and that there were no rooms available! She said there was no management on site and that there was nothing she could do about it! There were several others trying to book in who were told the same as us...no rooms available and that our bookings were void! Being as we had booked with lastminute.com we were told they only accept bookings from booking.com. It turned out that the other people who had been turned away had also booked with lastminute.com. Others checking in with booking.com were accepted in!!!!We tried to look for alternative accomodation but being as it was 6.30pm there were no available rooms. There was also an issue with people who were staying there who came to the desk complaining there was no electricity or hot water to get a shower after two nights of their stay!! They were told it was being sorted!! I advise any one who is thinking of booking in at The Hotel Celebrity to give it a miss! I have never experienced such an obysmal set up in my life!!!Last minute.com are trying their best to resolve this for me as money has been taken from me for this booking!

    Stayed here for one night while visiting Bournemouth for a friend’s birthday. I’d actually stayed at Hotel Celebrity about 18 months ago, so I had a good idea of what to expect and it delivered again.The room was clean and fairly well equipped for a short stay, and the shower had pretty good pressure. The chilled water fountains outside the room are a really nice touch and something you don’t often see at this price point.Reception staff were friendly and welcoming, making check-in straightforward. It can be a bit loud at night depending on other guests, but on this occasion it wasn’t too bad.Overall, it’s a solid, affordable option if you just need somewhere to stay for the night. Nothing fancy, but good value for money and does the job well.

    Awful, felt unsafe!

    Awful stay, felt unsafe!We got attacked our first morning there! Booked a room from Friday to Sunday, (got a surprise £50 deposit they don’t list on website when we arrived) all night we could hear banging, music, yelling, and police sirens. Saturday morning me and my partner woke up around 7am to our room door being kicked in by some random man who was blatantly not sober, he then screamed and tried to punch my partner in the face, to which my partner had to restrain the man to floor. While this is happening I’m running to the reception to try get some help, no one even bothers to even come up to our room or respond to me. My partner by that point managed to get the man to leave or room. As he’s walking past me I point him out to all the staff and security, who just stare at me and him as he went past. We then ask the hotel staff once the man leaves if there CCTV is working and they say yes, we ask them to hand that to the police when they arrive as we’re going to somewhere else for breakfast because we don’t know if that man is going to return and feel unsafe. We are in contact with police before we head back, and they say to us that the hotel said the CCTV isn’t working. We confront the hotel about the CCTV and they lie again saying they didn’t say that to the Police, they then followed up with WE weren’t allowed to stay our other night we booked because of what happened, but the man (we later found out basically lives there) is allowed to stay. We’ve still not got our deposit back and they’ve tried sending fake receipts to “prove” they have. I could honestly go on for a lot longer about how just disgusting we were treated but there is honestly no point in waisting your time. Just take my word and don’t waste your money!
