    I was surprised by my partner on my birthday with a stay here for 2 nights. It was so special and I loved every minute. The views are incredible and the food also great. The service delivered by Raz made the whole visit. He is exceptional at his job I think this hotel is lucky to have such a hard worker. Thank you HH and Raz.

    Whenever we are working near Poole we try and stay in this hotel as it is so lovely. The breakfast and views are very hard to improve on but we both feel it’s the staff that make this Hotel they cannot do enough for you. Thank you and we will be back soon.

    Fantastic location, great team, nice rooms , and really good food. Went a couple of year ago and the food was a bit sub par, however it was fantastic this time around

    The worst hotel experience ever - would’ve been better to sleep in my car

    Upon arrival at 9pm, the reception was unmanned. After a few minutes, someone turned up to help me find parking as the area outside the hotel was full and it was difficult to find the other section below. I was given a room on the third floor, and when I walked in there was a horrid musty smell and the room was very tired and worn. It was also very, very cold. However, the worst was the fact that there was an interconnecting door to the room next door. I was travelling solo and quite nervous, and I could clearly hear the person walking around their room like they were just a few inches from me. After a few minutes I realised that I would not be able to sleep, I was too nervous being on my own, and I went back to reception and requested a room without an interconnecting room next door. I didn’t think this would be too much to ask, but I was very definitely frowned upon for being such a nuisance. The next room didn’t have the interconnecting room, thankfully, but again it was absolutely freezing and felt shabby and worn. I tried using the thermostat on the wall to increase the heat, but it wasn’t working. I put the television on to distract myself from the cold, but that wouldn’t even work. After half an hour, I went down to reception to ask could someone fix the heating. It turned out, they controlled the heating from reception and hadn’t turned it on. I was told it would take about half an hour for the room to heat up. So I took myself to the warm bar to order a drink whilst waiting. No surprise, nobody there to serve me…. I waited and waited and nobody came. Giving up, I went back to my room… still no heating. I got into bed with my clothes on. At 1 am I had to get up and put a hat and scarf on. I tried calling reception but the phone wouldn’t connect. Desperate to get some sleep as I had a meeting in the morning, I wrapped the scarf around my head and nose. The next morning I complained & I was told I could have the manager’s email address. I had to pay in full upon arrival, otherwise I would have refused payment. Hoping that this review will help someone else looking at booking this hotel, to decide not to book. As explained, it can take some time for the rooms to warm up, particularly during colder evenings, and we regret that this caused you discomfort.I am also sorry that you felt unsupported on arrival and when seeking assistance, and that your concerns were not handled in a way that reassured you.
