    Dorset visit 2026

    rating09 Jun 2026

Stayed for 1 night 6th June. Plenty of space in car park. Checked in with lady reception clerk at 330pm, very pleasant, made to feel welcome. Allocated room 207 which looked like it has been redecorated. Everything clean and tidy. Air con functional and bathroom clean. Coffee and tea in room, could have done with a few more milks. Didnt have dinner or tea at the hotel. But did visit the leisure centre. Polite staff member explained everything and was given a locker key and towel. Used all facilities. Everything perfect. If i was to say anything for the hotel management to look at would be the cleanliness of the changing rooms as most is open plan. Floor was wet, rubbish on floor. And a shaving blade on the shower floor but this was mentioned on check out of the leisure centre and the man on duty said he would sort immediately. Will definitely return, hopefully for my 5th visit.

    Bournemouth review

    rating09 Jun 2026

Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the staff very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean but didn't have enough hangers and the air con didn't seem to be working properly. The pub and grill was nice and the food was excellent. The pool was a nice size and the steam room and sauna were great but the jacuzzi was a bit small. Great value though!

Lovely hotel but poor for coeliacs

    rating27 May 2026

The Village hotel in Bournemouth is lovely (I stayed in the newly renovated part). However, as a person with coeliac disease it was not very accommodating at all. I could not see anything on the menu that would be suitable for a strict gluten free diet (a medical necessity for coeliacs). I didn't eat in the hotel at all. Thank God there is a Tesco Extra within walking distance. There are also no fridges in the room so couldn't even cater for myself properly and is also not ideal if you are T1 diabetic and looking for somewhere to store insulin. Subash Velloly, General Manager at Village Hotel Bournemouth, responded to this review Dear iwillbeatreeThank you for staying here recently and great to know that you enjoyed the stay in the renovated rooms. All rooms are now upgraded and are of the highest quality. I am sorry that the menu had less choice for coeliacs. The team are trained to advise you on the items that can be altered to gluten free. We can store insulin in our fridge in the back office or can provide you a minibar fridge on request. Hope you will return for another stayBest regardsSubash VellolyGeneral Manager
