Great location but not worth the headache

    rating08 Jun 2026

My partner and I stayed here as we were in Bristol for a show. The room was fine for what we needed but all of the cons added up. Pros:- Room was spacious- Close to Temple Meads - Bar downstairs (semi-decent prices for a hotel)Cons:- AC did not work- Room was boiling hot (even with the cooler weather, opening the window did little to nothing)- Only one towel provided for two of us (not a huge deal but worth noting you may need to go to reception to request more than one towel)- Construction going on (it sounded like it was inside the hotel in the room next door), we were woken up by drilling around 8am. -Lots of street noise (again, hotel can’t control that but with the lack of AC we had to keep the window open)- Horrible sleep due to heat/constant noise I completely understand the hotel cannot control when fixes/construction occur but it would have been nice to get a heads up so we could be prepared and not be alarmed waking up thinking someone was drilling into our room.

    Lethal bathroom

    rating02 Jun 2026

Great location for business stays. Friendly staff. all looks nice. Room was OK. Superior room but would not really want to be in a standard one. Breakfast was ok, I like buffets, this was OK but not brilliant. Biggest issue is no bath/shower mat unless you ask. there is a step down from the shower room onto a polished floor and this is very dangerous. I have severe bruising from a slip. I'm not intending to bring an action, but someone will.I'm not intending to add the photos of knee, ankle, shin, arm. But I have them.

    Great staff, great location.

We like this Ibis. The rooms are standard Ibis rooms, with a good supply of electric sockets generally with USB charging points included. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Any problems are always sorted quickly and efficiently. The location is great; it is within a short walk of the Temple Meads railway station (which is served by the Bristol FLyer airport bus also), Europcar car hire, and Bristol city centre with its restaurants. Do join the loyalty program - it is free and does bring onuses after 10 nights' staying at any of the Accor hotels. We would stay again, and indeed we have been coming here several times per year since 2016.

Very different from a Premier Inn but same cost

    rating18 Mar 2026

ProsGreat location if you need to use Temple Meads StationBreakfast was fine. Although we only had the continental as we had to leave early which in fairness the staff accommodated.A good 20 minute walk to the city centre.ConsNear office buildings which are lite throughout the night, some have large screens which change like a tv, the curtains in the room allow this light in.Soundproofing in room is poor and noise was experienced from the plumbing and the liftsOnly three sockets in room, two by the window one under the full length mirror. None at all by the bedSmall bathroom pod....a one person use at timeExtremely small TV, sound not great as they have put it within a box on the wall.Only three pillows the room, good job I asked for 1 extra as both of us normally sleep with two.No coat hooks. We are used to Premier Inns thought we'd give this a go sadly would not use them again.

    Perfect location for train travelers

    rating17 Mar 2026

Short walk from Bristol Temple Meads (a tip in himself this ancient railway station), perfect location for train travelers (just like us). However, if you arrive by car, no problem, you can use the parking lots at Temple Meads Station (14.80 for the night), There isn't much in the way of restaurants in the surrounding area (typical commercial district), but in 15 minutes walk you will be in Cabot Circus, or - the other way - Redcliffe/The Groove.Everything was perfect in the hotel, from the reception to the quality of sleep and breakfast too.
