Location

Situated in a quiet rural location, the hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from the beautiful sandy beaches of Grouville Bay and the Royal Jersey Golf Club. A short walk behind the hotel is the beautiful landscaped Queen's Valley Reservoir, a haven for both nature lovers and walkers. It is 1.5 km to the village of Gorey. The picturesque harbour of Gorey is a further 800 m along a flower-filled promenade, where al fresco drinking and dining are enjoyed beneath the towering ramparts of Mont Orgueil Castle. On a clear day the distant coast of France is visible. Grouville is some 10 minutes' drive from St Helier harbour and 25 min from Jersey International airport.

Facility

The hotel has 2 apartments, 3 single rooms and 40 double rooms, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     Firstly I would like to say I would come back.In fact I hope to rebook this summer season.But it feels like an opportunity missed!So let’s run through.Bed great, really greatFood greatStaff great, super helpful and politeFacilities good.Location goodPrice goodBut…And here is the difference between a wow break and a ‘yea’ that’s was ok.And such simple things -Ironing board poor with holes inKettle - cheapest possible Iron - cheapest possible TV- not tuned in so only bbc1 and bbc2 available.Outside - 50% of sunbeds broken 🥹Pool not cleaned properly, although do have an auto bottom of pool cleaner the debris from high winds sitting on top of pool not cleaned. Simple, buy a net!If the owners are worried about iron / kettle being stolen just ask for a £50 returnable deposit.Such easy amends !!

    We had an amazing time staying here while visiting my son who now lives in jersey. The staff are wonderful and very helpful they made our stay very enjoyable.We ate in the restaurant twice while there and the food was excellent and good value for money.Would definitely stay here again

    We stayed here for 2 nights on our trip to Jersey. Located about 2km from Gorey it is a nice enough hotel if a little tired in places. We were warmly greeted on arrival by the receptionist though some of the other staff were not so helpful. Clean and tidy it suited our needs as a base for our walking holiday and it is on a bus route into Gorey so easily accessible. Breakfast buffet was good.

    Lovely hotel, we had a lovely room with tea, coffee etc. Tv was a bit hit and miss with reception but we weren't there to watch tv obviously. Had a slight problem with heating not working well but soon resolved by the wonderful Vinny. Breakfast good enough for us. Hardworking staff all round. Bed was fabulous and slept well but we had noise above our room which woke us up on the morning (footsteps constantly across floor so may have been a staff room) but we were grateful for a nice room. We would return. Thank you 😊

    Based on the price for this hotel, I would definitely return but ONLY if a room at the rear of the hotel is confirmed.Pros:Good location - walk to the beach, reservoir, Gorey, shops.Breakfast - excellent choice and quality. Good cereals and additional nuts/grains and great quality cooked breakfast.Staff - we only encountered 2 lovely ladies who manned reception and breakfast service. Room service - very thorough and efficient Linen and beds - beautiful clean crisp bedding and soft towels. Very comfortable beds.Cons: Room location - we initially had room 15 which is at the front of the hotel near the very busy road. It was like the traffic was in the room and insufferable. Moved to room 44 at the rear which was super.Windows - even in room 44 unable to leave window open for fresh air.
