    A very over priced hotel which certainly needs an upgrade.Roomwas shabby carpet needed a good clean plus upholstery Part of ceiling tiles offDon't stay here

    Fabulous on all fronts - this traditional 'town inn' styled hotel is in the centre of town, 7 minutes from the ferry terminal and 100yds from the bus stop servicing the whole island. Our suite was spacious, with comfortable twin beds (split king) - a coffee machine with a variety of different pods and a fridge of complimentary soft drinks and waters, replenished daily. There are multiple dining options, both in house or locally - we ate 'in' every night, over a four night stay, because we couldn't imagine anywhere improving on the main dining room - a daily changing 3 course menu, with daily 'market' fish dishes. Breakfast was exemplary - a fresh buffet along with 'a la carte' hot dishes - exceptional quality, beatifully presented. A class act and an absolute joy. There is also a terrace and a tea room serving decadent cakes and lite bites - sadly with so much to see and do, it's something for our next visit.

    This is a lovely hotel with very little to criticise. My only concern really was with the housekeeping. The rooms were reasonably clean but there were cobwebs in the bathroom and a broken socket near the bed which are small things but needed attention. Also there was no hot water before 5pm which for a hotel of this calibre is not really acceptable.However the food is lovely the service excellent and the facilities excellent.The position in town is good too being close both to the town and the harbour.

    Stayed as part of a group on a walking holiday. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. The food was beautifully presented and tasty. The bedroom was well arranged - and I particulary liked the provision of a tea pot and the availability of fresh milk from Reception. The hotel was very quiet. Proximity to the harbour to catch ferries to Sark and Herm, and to the shopping area of St Peter Port, made this an ideal location. I would love to return!

    We really enjoyed our stay at this well-run hotel and it exceeded expectations. It's in a lovely historic building in the centre of St Peter Port, and our room was very comfortable with a large, firm bed and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was high quality with generous servings and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
