    We haven't stayed at the Mount Pleasant for about 2 years which is unusual for us, so we were looking forward to our two night stay, and we're were not disappointed. Warmly greeted at the reception we were then greeted by another long serving member of staff, like coming home! We were kindly squeezed into Sunday lunch a full three courses. The starter prawn cocktail was lovely but it was overshadowed by the main course Roast Beef Sirloin with Yorkshire Pudding, roast potatoes, veg and mashed potatoes were extra. at the time I remarked that the beef was the the tenderest I had tasted for a while. Steamed pudding to follow but no custard which was a little disappointing, I have noticed that a lot of restaurants don't do custard anymore which is a shame. Staff were brilliant. We then checked into our room 160 and again not let down, very large, and spotless, new shower room or it looked it. Lovely comfy bed nothing to complain about. Evening meal. All I want to say is try the beef short rib, 10 hours cooked it was fantastic the most tender succulent piece of beef I have ever tasted. The hotel is better than ever in our view, relaxing, really clean. But above all some great staff.

    Simply The Best Best Western I've ever stayed at

    Stayed here on route to Scotland and enjoyed the stay so much we decided to stop over again on our way home. Staff extremely polite and helpful, the rooms are so spacious and the food was ideal for a one night stay.
