  This is the area where you will find the old castle. The Rock forms a high hill, so be prepared for a climb, although a cab will take you almost to the top. Formidable.

  Castle Rock is visible from large parts of the city. The Castle on top is of course the interesting part, and when you are on castle rock you can't really enjoy it.. There are lots of tourists on top...

  It is really impressive how Edinburgh Castle was built on a rock. The rocks are in great shape and don't look like they are going to fall down anytime soon.
