    Perfect location for an over night stay , very easy to travel into city centre as the bus stop is right outside the door. % minute walk from a Sainsbury's if you are looking to buy a picnic and visit local places such as Dr Neils Gardens.We secured a very reasonable over night rate for a top floor room which suited us just fine. The room was clean but the mattress did overhang the bed base which made sleeping a bit precarious as it felt like one of us would roll off the bed at any moment. Probably wouldnt be noticed by a solo guest or someone petite ! Our stay was brief but the accomodation was quiet. Would book again as it met our needs at a reasonable price and all we required was a bed to rest for the night.

    They ripped us off and stole our money. Avoid!! GREEDY AND NOT SCOTTISH. DO NOT GO HERE IT'S AWFUL AND A SCAM.

    Tired decor and needs updating. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Our room was at the front and difficulty in sleeping as the road is a main road into Edinburgh.Staff were polite and friendly. We went out on our last morning for breakfast and returned to our room 10:20 to find a housekeeper in our room stripping our beds! checkout time is 11:00. I would really check the reviews for the last 6 months as we are not the only ones thinking this is a very titmred hotel. Most 5 star reviews are from people with only 1 contribution!

    We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, nice atmosphere, good beds and shower.The buss is right in front of the hotel, so it was very easy to get to city centre.The staff is really nice and helpful, mail contact was quick.It would have been nice if there was a front desk to welcome you, the office is a little tucked away and a few days we did not see any of the staff.

    Terrible. When we arrived they where overbooked. We payed a part in front but we never got it back and we have to look for an other hotel and pay that aswell. Even when it’s in the mail that their fault. A few years ago it was very nice but not anymore with the new owner!
