  Comfortable stay with good service, easy parking and a very decent Sunday dinner

  I stayed at Garfield House Hotel over a Sunday night and overall had a positive experience plus a very modest cost using one of BWs deals.There is ample free parking, which made arrival very easy. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a good-sized and comfortable bed, a proper desk area plus two club seats with ample space to move about. The bathroom was very clean, and the room had everything I would expect of a good 3-star hotel. The décor is fairly traditional rather than modern, but the room was pleasant and practical. The only real negative was the desk chair, which badly needs re-padding or replacement, as the wooden edges could be felt when sitting on it. Putting on a cushion from the bed helped.Sunday dinner was very good. I had the roast beef, which was served promptly, hot, well cooked and in sensible portions. The dining room was quiet and pleasant, and the young waiter looking after the room did an excellent job. He was friendly, attentive, and handled the few diners very well.As a Best Western Gold member, I was also given a drinks voucher, which was appreciated and could be used for an alcoholic drink.Wi-Fi was usable, though not blazing fast. It was fine for basic browsing and messages, but I would not 100% rely on it for business video conferencing. Overall, this was a good, comfortable stay with easy parking, a comfortable bed, clean facilities, good service, and a better-than-expected evening meal.

  Booked 5 rooms all very clean and comfortable. Restaurant was very good food come out quickly and was well priced. Friendly staff very professional waitress. Would definitely stay again.

  We had a lovely break at this hotel. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Great breakfast and menu. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and good quality. We will definitely stay again when we are back up in Scotland.

  Thank you for a great dining experience, all of the staff were absolutely fantastic. We tried several meals which were delicious & nicely presented. The lamb hotpot was my favorite along with the apple & rhubarb crumble, definitely homemade. Thank you I’ll be back.

  A Good, Friendly and Professionally Staffed Hotel

  Booked this hotel as it was close to relatives and also and easy drive into Glasgow City Centre for the purposes of our visit. The staff were friendly and would listen to questions asked about the menu in the restaurant as my wife has dietary needs to be careful of. The staff would happily check with the kitchen staff and would take note of food orders as we went along in our stay. With a menu that had hand-written notes from the chef, we became well-known, but it was not a bother to any of them ensure we had a good experience.Good location and easy to get to, good parking and great staff.
