  No working lift, no customer service, boiling hot rooms, utterly awful

  Ive already made a formal complaint about this. In brief - all lifts are broken and have been since about October 2025. They refused to move my bookings into the other travelodge in Kingston (about 100 yards away) without paying a surcharge. Apparently they are franchises so they can't just move you... The reception is on floor 5 of this building. The stairs to get there aren't fully inside the building so are open to the elements, meaning many slippy stone steps. I fell on one visit. The bedrooms are then on higher floors again, so my room was then on floor '5' - i.e. 5 floors above reception so really floor 10 of the building. This is late at night, on slippy steps, with a heavy suitcase, after a long day travelling. Its just unacceptable. The building is old so temperature control is wild. My room had a heater on and was roasting despite the cold weather outside. So it was uncomfortable. Opening the windows (which were disgustingly dirty and full of cobwebs) leads to hours of busy road traffic if your room is on the main road side, so you cant relax and sleep. For me - I was then woken at 6am ish by reception banging on a neighbouring door "hello - this is reception, hello, hello!" for about ten mintues before they then let themselves into whatever room they were trying to get into. So I had possibly one of the WORST nights sleep of my life (followed obviously by a 10 flight of stairs climb down in the morning). Avoid this Travelodge at all costs. Its just awful. The customer service is non-existant. They don't offer an apology, only agreement that its rubbish and they claim there is nothing they can do. This was my final visit after a block booking. I will never be back.

  Stebin is so kind and helpful, and knows how to treat disabled guests- a pleasure to speak to and such a great manager, made me feel respected and treated well as a long time guest, highly recommended Travelodge with lovely management

  We made a mistake with the bookings and we were supposed to wait 12 hours before the check in time and every room was full, but then he (Steban) and the receptionist (Sarawaj)was calm with helping us solve the 12 hours wait time issues They were really helpful

  This filthy hotel is full of drugged and weird clients, I stayed 3 nights, couldn't sleep at all for 2 nights. People partying with loud music, screams all night, smell of drugs (weed) they tried to destroy my door to attack me, I received loads of insults because I complained to the reception, very unsafe hotel, don't expect protection from the receptionists and management.
