    Met all our needs and more...great location for transit to downtown

    Stayed here for marathon as unable to book in town. However location was great, next to the T and easy to get downtown. Clean , good rooms, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Put on free treats and an affordable pasta meal for marathon runners. Local bar/restaurant was good. Enjoyed our stay.     I have been coming here to this hotel various times over the last seven months for work and for pleasure. Sharon and Christine are fantastic assets to this hotel. They are very welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Great location, fantastic staff, and very clean.

    We arrived around midnight and found a line at the counter to check in. If the Marriott app worked as well as its competitors (Hilton and Hyatt where I also stayed during the trip and was able to receive room assignment and mobile key bypassing the front desk), I would've been in my room falling asleep instead of waiting 30 minutes to check in. Instead, I waited in line as there were four groups from a cancelled flight ahead of me. I noticed another employee (perhaps a manager? He was flipping through papers) at the front desk not being helpful. Surely checking in customers when there is a line is more important than going through your papers. He disappeared into the back as we waited, probably to hide from the disapproving looks. The room itself was nice, but the check in process was horrendous. Additionally, there is a destination charge for this hotel of $25 which I'm sure is on the website, but since I made the reservation months ago, I did not remember. It would've also been nice if I was reminded at check-in of the destination charge and what it included ($25 food and beverage credit which I certainly would've used if known about it).

    This is a nice hotel, but it is far away from downtown. We booked as it stated it was close to Fenway. This is untrue. So it cost a bit in taxi fares getting around. If we had a car it may have been OK but the transportation issue was a problem for us.

    i was pleasantly surprised about the amazing customer service i received throughout my stay. normally when checking in at other hotels that staff barely acknowledge the customers. however, there was one at this location named Aleisha and she was amazing and made all the difference. she answered any and all questions i had and was extremely professional and friendly!
