    Beware: Bad/clueless general manager and they don’t clean guest rooms everyday

    Tatiana, who represented herself as the general manager, is a brute, and has no business being in the hospitality business. I came back to my room today from a long day away, to find the room had not been cleaned at all. I tried calling the front desk, but each time I tried over the course of an hour, I got a perpetual busy signal. I finally went downstairs to the front desk to ask the nice young man who was tending it why my room was not serviced. He apologized and stated that someone should have told me that this property only cleans rooms every other day. By this time the cleaning staff had already left for the day, so I asked him for a fresh set of towels and to let his general manager know that I was not happy about such policy and more so about it not being transparently disclosed at time of booking or check in, or any indication with signage or documentation in the room. While I was having a civil conversation about all this, his coworker, named Tatiana (who later said she is the general manager), interjects in a nasty tone that in fact there is a small sign saying such in the lower right hand corner of the bathroom mirror. (By the way, there is in fact so such sign on the bathroom mirror.) At about $350/night, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect better service and better attitude.

    we happened to stay at the Hampton Inn Feb 20-24 during the blizzard of '26! we hand only planned to be there for 2 night but nature had other plans.the staff was wonderful. they caterered to all the guest needs, kept the sidewalk and driveway shoveled, and the coffee hot.this is our third visit to this hotel and would not hesitate to stay again.

    Positive: room rates were ok and there was free underground parking.Not so great: Both chairs in the room had stains in them (see pics)water damage on the ceiling of the room was showing. Heating/cooling not optimal - could not keep the room cool at night. Had temp controls on the heater/ac unit under the window and also on the wall - no clear instructions on how to make sure the right one was used.

    Located across the street from Green Line Subway station (Lechmere) making it easy to get around Boston easy. Harvard is about a 20 minute drive. Even numbered rooms are next to train tracks while odd numbered rooms are street side. No real food options within walking distance of hotel. Free parking under hotel, there is limited space for parking and most of parking does require parallel parking.
