  One-Star Review: Unprofessional and Unjustified Reservation Cancellation

  I am giving this hotel a one-star rating due to an extremely unprofessional and unsettling experience at the front desk. I attempted to check in, and while I readily provided my ID and credit card for incidentals, the staff member's subsequent requests were unreasonable and poorly handled.After providing my ID and credit card, the staff member asked for my phone number. When I politely inquired why my phone number was needed, as I had not encountered this request at a hotel earlier that same day, he simply stared at me, unable to provide a clear explanation. This awkward standoff continued until I asked him to explain the reason for the request. He still offered no valid justification.Despite the lack of explanation, he proceeded with the check-in process and then demanded my address. Again, I questioned the necessity of this information, as I had booked online. He insisted it was required but failed to provide any reason why. I expressed my confusion, as I've never been asked for my address when booking online.Instead of attempting to understand my concerns or offer a reasonable explanation, the staff member abruptly canceled my reservation. He lacked the emotional intelligence to simply ask why I was hesitant to provide the information. There could be numerous valid reasons, including not having a permanent address, but he made no attempt to understand my perspective.Following this negative experience, I checked into a different hotel. I inquired about their check-in procedures, specifically asking if they would require my address and phone number. The staff at the second hotel explained the legitimate reasons for requesting a phone number (for contact purposes, etc.), but confirmed they do not require an address for online bookings. This further solidified my frustration with the first hotel's unreasonable demands and unprofessional handling of the situation.The staff member at the first hotel even had the audacity to claim that in his five years of employment, I was the first person to question these requests. This is simply unbelievable. My advice to anyone considering this hotel: question any unusual requests for information, and be prepared for potentially dismissive and unhelpful service. I strongly recommend choosing another accommodation. This hotel clearly does not value its potential customers.   Clean, comfortable, convenient... but mediocre breakfast selection

  I stayed two nights at this hotel, opting for a "King" room, which matched the pictures on the ChoiceHotels website. The room was clean, but could have used an additional trash can (1 for the bedroom, 1 for the bathroom). The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. There were some obvious patches to the walls and the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work (I reported it) but those are minor details.Breakfast is included in your stay from 6 to 9, which I experienced my second day (I was off early the first morning before they started serving). They had two sets of serving trays with signs saying "out of service" on them. I had to "flick" the inside switch to turn on the juice machine (which had capacity for four juices, but was only stocked with three). The "hot" breakfast tray had only TWO items: Bacon and Scrambled Eggs. There was an assortment of mini muffins... not. Only mini-blueberry muffins were there. Instead of a variety of breads, bagels, etc... there was ONLY three loaves of the SAME bread. There was a waffle maker, 3 cereals and a cooler filled with Peach and Strawberry yogurt. If ya came for the breakfast, which I didn't, you'd be mighty disappointed.What surprised me, when I checked in pretty late, was that the housekeeping crew was still cleaning rooms. In fact, the desk clerk ran up to the floor as I was heading towards my room to intercept me as it hadn't yet been cleaned. I stood in the hallway as he ran back downstairs to the front desk to reassign me to a clean room.Over all, the hotel was convenient and the rooms reasonably priced. The breakfast, meh! It was mediocre at best. My test of a hotel is whether or not I'd stay there again. In this case, yes, but I'd hope that by then they'd have "fixed" the two sets of serving trays and actually serve a decent breakfast.   Very nice hotel

  We stayed here because we were stuck in Dallas due to airport weather delays . The airline gave us vouchers for this hotel. There were many people trying to check in and it was late evening. Even though the lobby was full of unhappy travelers, the staff stayed pleasant and helpful. Checking in was very smooth. We were given a very nice room. The hotel was clean and the room was quiet. Free breakfast in the morning was very good and hot. We would definitely stay here again!   Don't Go There!

  We have stayed at several Comfort Suites and always were pleased. This place was terrible. Old facility that needs much update. Inept desk staff. Dark, cramped room. A/C problems. Thin walls. Listened to someone's loud music until after 1am.We checked out after one uncomfortable night.   Our room was clean and nice, as was the rest of the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights. Breakfast was adequate. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub - both were clean. We appreciated the ample free parking. Location was perfect for our needs.
