Refused pillows for our kids, broken hot tub, master suite door won't even close

    rating21 May 2026

Stayed here on May 22, 2026 with my children. Three serious problems:First, I asked the front desk for two extra pillows so my kids could sleep comfortably. The request was flatly refused - no explanation, no offer to check housekeeping, no alternative, no offer to involve a manager. Choice Hotels corporate guest relations also confirmed they don't handle on-property issues in real time, so guests here are essentially on their own.Second, the hot tub was non-functioning.Third, the door to the master suite would not close because there is a cabinet directly in the path of the door's swing - meaning no privacy between the bedroom and the rest of the suite. For a Choice Hotels-branded property marketed to families, this combination of refused basic requests and broken room features is unacceptable. The BBB rates this property D- and not accredited - wish I'd checked first. Plenty of better options around DFW; choose one of them. One more thing: there is only one working ice machine in the entire property. Even the basics aren't being maintained here. Guest Relations Manager, General Manager at Comfort Suites DFW Airport, responded to this review Dear Jeremy, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your stay with us did not meet your expectations, especially while traveling with your children. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced regarding your request for extra pillows. We understand how important comfort is, particularly for families, and we regret that your request was not handled in a more supportive and accommodating manner. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and your comments regarding communication and responsiveness have been noted for internal review. We are also very sorry to hear that the hot tub was not operational during your stay. Amenities like this are an important part of the guest experience, and we understand how disappointing it is when they are not available as expected.Additionally, we regret the inconvenience caused by the suite door not closing properly due to the cabinet placement. Guest comfort and privacy are very important, and we understand how this would have impacted your experience in a family suite setting. Your feedback regarding room layout and maintenance will be shared with our team for prompt attention. We also take your comment about the ice machine availability seriously. Ensuring that all guest-facing amenities are fully operational and well-maintained is a priority, and we are sorry for the inconvenience this caused. We truly regret that your stay left you with such a negative impression. Your feedback is valuable and will be used to help address the concerns you raised and improve the overall guest experience.

    Not Bad!

    rating02 Feb 2026

When making the reservation (1/31-2/1/26), I accidently called Booking.com ($19 fee-instead of the Hotel directly because I wasn't able to find the Hotel's direct reservation number-I was extremely tired). The location from DFW is approx. 5 miles, per Uber driver, instead of 3.5 miles. The lobby was quite when I arrived & the hallways had a good smell. ROOMS: I was switched to 3 different rooms. 1st room had a shower issue, water was shooting everywhere from the shower head attachment, 2nd room was cold because the thermostat didn't work. 3rd room was fine, everything functional. All the rooms were clean, beds were soft & while switching I was still in the same room category. Wasn't able to utilize the free breakfast because of early airport shuttle ride, which was great! Because the front desk personnel was trying to make the room situation right, I would probably stay there again. Guest Relations Manager, General Manager at Comfort Suites DFW Airport, responded to this review Hi GreenQ, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback! We truly appreciate your patience during your stay and understand how challenging it can be to navigate multiple room changes. We’re glad to hear that the final room met your expectations and that you found the beds comfortable and the rooms clean. It’s also wonderful to know that our lobby and hallways left a positive impression with a quiet atmosphere and pleasant scent. We’re happy that our front desk team could assist and work to resolve the room issues and that our airport shuttle was convenient for your schedule. Your understanding and willingness to stay with us again mean a lot. We look forward to welcoming you back for an even smoother and more seamless stay in the future!

    Look elsewhere!

Our flight was canceled so we needed a place to stay so I made a reservation for 2 nights as that was when the next flight was. We arrived at the hotel & was told the hot water was out but they guaranteed it would be fixed the next morning. I was able to book a new flight the next day & immediately called & said I needed to cancel the 2nd night. Next morning still no hot water. Checked out, asked for receipt, they’ll email it. Later that day, got receipt, charged for both nights. Guest Relations Manager, General Manager at Comfort Suites DFW Airport, responded to this review Dear L9755GJdebbies, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand how stressful unexpected flight cancellations can be, and we appreciate you choosing to stay with us during what was already a challenging situation. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the hot water outage and for the frustration of it not being resolved as quickly as expected. We understand how important this is to a comfortable stay, and we regret that the issue carried into the next morning. We also apologize for the confusion regarding your reservation adjustment and the billing.Your feedback has been shared with our management team, as it highlights the importance of clear communication and accurate handling of changes to reservations and charges. We truly regret that this experience did not reflect the level of service we aim to provide.Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Your comments are valuable and help us improve our processes and guest experience moving forward.

    Disturbing, Unsanitary Stay, Absolutely Unacceptable!

    rating11 Jan 2026

I stayed at this hotel only because airline delays caused me to miss my connecting flight in Dallas, and the airline placed passengers here for the night. While the hotel does have a 24/7 airport shuttle and the front desk staff member was polite and professional, that is the only positive thing I can say.I was assigned room 239, and from the moment I stepped onto the floor, it felt unsettling, dim, dingy, and honestly creepy. Even the key card warns guests to use the deadbolt for safety, which immediately put me on edge.Opening the room door was shocking. The chairs had stains that looked like bodily fluids from previous guests. In the bathroom, the toilet still contained fecal matter, clearly showing the room had not been cleaned. When I checked the bed, there were visible blood stains on the sheets. I felt sick to my stomach. It was after midnight, and I was exhausted, but I felt so uncomfortable and unsafe that I couldn’t bring myself to sit, lie down, or even put my luggage on the floor. I closed the bathroom door, stood the entire time, kept my backpack on my back, and counted the minutes until I could leave at 3:15 a.m.This was not just unpleasant, it was disturbing and unsanitary. No traveler should be placed in conditions like this, especially by an airline. I will never stay here again, and airlines should seriously reconsider using this hotel for stranded passengers. Guest Relations Manager, General Manager at Comfort Suites DFW Airport, responded to this review Dear KompassionateDr, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to read about your experience and want to sincerely apologize for the distress and discomfort you encountered during your stay. What you described is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the standards of cleanliness, safety, or care that we expect for our guests. We are especially concerned by the condition of the room you were assigned. Issues involving housekeeping, sanitation, and guest comfort are taken extremely seriously, and your comments have been escalated immediately to our management and housekeeping leadership for urgent review and corrective action. No guest, particularly one already dealing with the stress and exhaustion of airline delays, should ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable in their room.We do appreciate you acknowledging the professionalism of our front desk team and the availability of our airport shuttle, but we fully recognize that these positives do not come close to offsetting the experience you described. We deeply regret that we failed to provide you with a clean, welcoming, and secure environment.Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we are truly sorry for the experience you endured.

    DUMP

    rating03 Nov 2025

What a dark, dingy dump! Not only are the staff, rude, and indifferent, they don't act like they give a flip about anyone or anyone's needs, the hotel stunk. It was dirty, dark and dingy, the rooms felt like I was in a horror movie, creepy vibe throughout the building, the worst continental breakfast I've ever had, the food was awful and cheap, do not stay here Guest Relations Manager, General Manager at Comfort Suites DFW Airport, responded to this review Dear gregoryg133, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations and that you encountered several concerns during your stay. Your comments are important to us, as they help identify areas where we can improve. Please know that cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality are top priorities for our entire team, and we regret that this was not reflected during your visit. We are currently reviewing your comments with our staff to ensure that any lapses in service and maintenance are promptly addressed. We understand how disappointing this must have been, and we sincerely apologize for falling short of providing the welcoming, well-kept environment our guests deserve. We hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with the improved experience we strive to deliver to every guest.
