  Little League DFW World Series Championship

  We were in town to support our grandson’s team in the DFW World Series for little league. When we arrived it was nice and clean on the outside, good curb appeal. The inside lobby was nice and clean. We were greeted immediately. That is always a plus in my book. The room was nice and clean, the shower and bathroom were nice and clean as well and these two are key in my book. The only complaint I have is that one of the elevators was down which made it a little harder to get to and from the room. My husband said the breakfast was good. I can say that I would recommend this hotel.

  Noisy hotel, cold pool, weird bathroom door - helpful staff, good location

  I do not recommend this hotel for the following reasons. 1. Noise - It is so noisy due to the proximity of the highway and the design of the HVAC units. The HVAC systems let in so much noise that we needed to sleep with ear plugs. 2. Bathroom Door - the bathroom door is a barn style sliding door. Which leeks light and doesn't provide a lot of privacy. 3. Pool Temperature - the pool was freezing. The positive notes are... * the hotel location is very convenient for multiple destinations; and* the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

  I regret chosing this hotel. They have challenges. There are safety concerns. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others, especially if traveling with a large group of kids as I was.There are certainly worse zero star hotels but you'd be challenged to find a worse one in this area. The cleanliness wasn't all that bad but I did find a rotted container of melted ice cream in the 3 legged refrigerator in my room. They use the small bath towels and the beds have the low quality springy mattresses. The towel hook fell off the wall in my room and the shower was miserable. And that is stuff I wouldn't otherwise bother to complain about.The room doors don't all close themselves completely without slamming. When slammed it isn't a joy to be it a surrounding room. But when not slammed it stays 1/2" ajar and you can't really tell from inside until you try to lock the deadbolt. Walking the hall I found half a dozen rooms with the door open at night. I also found mine open upon returning from breakfast because I thought it had closed but didn't double check.One night the entire hotel was evacuated for at least an hour while the fire department cleared the building for a carbon monoxide leak created from pool heater equipment. Stuff happens I suppose but how you handle it matters. The only updates given were to the few people standing by the door. There were nearly 200 people standing in the cool late night air that did not get any explanation or apology. To be clear this was not a false alarm. It was their equipment that left everyone standing outside late at night. No apology, compensation, reassurance. No late checkout because per the hotel they were short staffed. The only offering they made was to tell the few standing by the door that they could get drinks and use the restroom at the Garden Inn just 100ft away...where more fire, paramedics, and police were responding to a drugged out homeless person passed out next to the restrooms. They eventually took him away in cuffs. Not fun. Not worth the money. Not again

  One of the better Hampton Inns. Well maintained, helpful staff, decent breakfast. Breakfast room is very nice, especially for a budget hotel.

  I liked this hotel a lot, our suite was very clean with all mod cons,despite the jaded entrance which reminded me of a home( as in old age home ) The reception needs upgrading and refurbishing, as I was intrepidation of what my room would be like !However, fortunately pleasantly surprised ! Apart from the above would definatley stay again
