  Great if you like the constant Fan Noise at night.

  Hi, this is a really nice place to stay that is reasonable and close to everything in Rockwall. We go to stay with family a lot. The breakfast is good, except other guests take a lot more than their share and don't leave things like yogurts for everyone else.The really big problem with this place is the fan inside the room, you cannot turn it off. It is loud and stays on all night - even if you turn off the A/C. Couldn't sleep for 2 nights and they say every room is like this.

  The visit was a wonderful stay, the room was clean as well as the bathroom. the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice and quiet during our sleep. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed the effort the staff had put into making our visit a memorable experience. The options for the local restaurants was unlimited. The shopping down the road was great for her and I.

  I Live and Breathe Internet Access!

  Pros: decent breakfast, daily variations; comfortable (queen) beds; clean room, tidy; roomy shower (no tub in this room). Staff uniformly friendly, including housekeeping. Cons: WHY do hotels have random, weak lighting? No ceiling light fixtures? Just hither and yon wimpy bulbs? And WHY is the shower water pressure so abysmally weak? Impossible to get clean, quickly. Plus the shower has two temperature settings: HOT! and HOTTER! Sink? Same problem. Hotel is on a hillside leading away to the harbor, so cellphone use is spotty, at best. Accessing hotel WIFI also spotty. Sheets were flimsy and would not stay on the mattresses. Odd, that. Both of the elevators stink, badly enough that we held our breath traveling the 4 floors to/from our room. A smell like (sorry, TMI) vomit mixed with the smell of sulfur as if a box full of matches were briefly lit, then snuffed out. And over the 2 days, this odor did NOT dissipate! Mid-May and the hotel pool was not available. In Texas. Conclusion: if I can't access my mobile data and WIFI is spotty, I'll have to choose a better-located hotel. A weekend respite still needs internet access.

  Lousy, bare bones hotel.

  Bare bones, very poorly run and equipped hotel. It took me 40 minutes to get a room due to the incompetence of the front office staff and one room not having functioning heat/AC working. Floors were creaky and they had virtually no food available of any type to buy there.   We LOVE Tru!!!

  We come to Rockwall every 3 months for a medical visit. We always stay here at least 1 night. We've tried all of the rest of the Rockwall hotels. I can honestly say this Tru knocks all the others out of the ballpark in every category. Breakfast, Cleanliness, Hospitality, Room Comfort, and Maintenance are all top notch. Their sister hotel, Hilton Rockwall Lakefront, is good too. But, you get the best bang for your buck at Tru.We're already booked our room for our next visit. Thank you Tru!!! We love you!!!
