This charming hotel enjoys an outstanding location in the heart of Denver, only one block from the 16th street Mall. Restaurants and bars are also to be found in the vicinity, for example in the neighbouring, luxurious Brown Palace Hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 231 rooms, which are located on 22 storeys and are reachable by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Worst Hotel Experience in my lifetime.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!! AC doesn't work. When I went to front desk to complain, they stated maintenance would be up to fix. Their idea of a fix.....leaving a box fan in the room. Went down the next morning and the gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude, stated that since I booked through a 3rd party they would have to help me. SERIOUSLY, I am at the hotel right now and there is NO AC what exactly will the 3rd party be able to accomplish? Send their own maintenance person out?This hotel doesn't give a CARE about their customers if they booked through a 3rd party. That was brought up to me several times while trying to get resolution. "I see you booked through a 3rd party, we are unable to assist you was the response I got over and over, then the gentleman at the front desk stated I could just cancel and find another hotel. Again seriously why is this person giving me a hard time about their HORRIBLE rooms with NO working AC. I even asked him so since I booked through a 3rd party I don't deserve working AC?After going round and round with him, another front desk person was able to move me into a room that had a working AC. Not sure why that was never offered in the first place.Hotel rooms are small, dingy and dated. Non-working AC seems to be the norm as another customer was complaining when I checked in. Telephone didn't work in room and the hot water didn't work well at all. Save yourself the headache. DO NOT STAY HERE!!     Mostly a decent experience. But the water was lukewarm. We couldn’t take a shower. The sink was tiny. Everything else was adequate for one night.     Too Cold for Comfort

    Easily the most uncomfortable hotel stay I have ever experienced at Holiday Inn Express Denver Downtown by IHG. From check-in, I was informed I would not be able to control the room temperature and would need to rely on the front desk for adjustments. My room was extremely cold upon arrival, and repeated attempts to reach the front desk went unanswered. I went downstairs to report the issue and was eventually moved to another room, where I was informed I could control the temperature. However, even in this room, it remained uncomfortably cold and the thermostat did not properly function in heat mode. I ultimately stayed only one night, which I was relieved was all I had booked. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects basic comfort or a reliably functioning room temperature system.

    We didn’t have hot water for the shower. When we brought it up to front desk they said we needed to flush the toilet to get hot water to work. They should have discounted our stay. They knew this was an issue and didn’t mention it when we checked in.     Did not honor guaranteed reservation; tried to move me to another hotel 35 minutes away!!

    Hotel was overbooked and tried to tell me I was rebooked for another holiday inn 35 minutes away!! And, I would have to cover the cost of a cab there myself. Completely ridiculous. There was no manager on site to deal with this. They did not offer to comp the room. They said maybe the other hotel would give me something free to make up for the cab ride. What?!
