    I normally do not write these comments, butI have to share the great care I amd my wife received from the Desk member, Julian and the Valet person Casey. Over all, the staff was awesome.... but these two took it to another level. Thank You

    Golden Co is fantastic and the hotel is nice. The issue I had was that I prepaid a few weeks before the trip with the assumption I was saving money. I found out the week before we traveled that the price was about $60/night less. I called and asked for a lower rate but was refused. Then asked can I at least get a discount on the restaurant and again was refused.The below is from the hotel website: "Advanced Purchase RatePay now and save! Offer is non-refundable and cannot be modified." I realize it says the offer cannot be modified but it also says "Pay now and save". Kind of conflicting info. But I do feel like I was conned. My advice if you decide to stay there - DO NOT PREPAY.

    I held a small conference here for about 60 people and the atmosphere was good, the food was more delicious and vegetable-forward than I’d ever had from hotel catering, and the event staff was just fantastic. They were all positive and easy to work with and created a really good experience for our guests. Definitely recommend!

    The room was very clean and spacious. When we checked in we were basically given a k and that was it. Found out later there were amenities available that we weren't told about, including an off-site exercise place. The valet charged $24 per night but was rarely available and you would have to hunt down someone from the staff to get into your car. The front desk staff seem to be handling the heavy lifting for all of the people staying at the hotel. There were other staff members and plenty of them that didn't seem directly involved in taking care of guests.

    Great central location in a great walkable town! Kudos to the Management for all the modern room conveniences and updated beds without losing the rustic charm. The onsite restaurant was good, but I especially enjoyed the outside patio dining.
