    We booked a non-canal view room and that placed us in the motel unit just off the highway and road to the airport. Our room was at the corner nearest the airport road, but trees blocked the view of the road from the back. A sliding door opened to a lawn with a view of the pool and two Adirondack chairs, plus several roosters who seemed surprised to see us. They were quiet in the morning and went about their business while ignoring us. The room was large, clean and comfortable. No breakfast was offered, but we knew that and had stopped at a store for provisions. The front desk employees were all very nice and helpful. While there was noise from the road, it didn't impact our sleep, but it could bother others. We didn't explore any other places at the resort and marina. We were here for two nights, and it was perfectly fine.

    Room was a few feet off a busy Highway- only one going through Keys! Other side bordered international airport! The noise was unbearable. If able to doze off on the worst bed ever, ambulances, planes or trucks woke us up. Oh…or the chickens in the back! Resort?-what a joke. Marina-also a joke. Asked to change to an empty room in the back- off the highway- said for $1000! Couldn’t run away fast enough. Props to housekeeping- they were amazing

    Perfect Reasonably Priced Stay - Def Recommend

    We had such a wonderful stay at Coconut Bay in Marathon during spring break with our two 10-year-old boys. It was truly everything we needed for a relaxing and fun family getaway.The room was clean, the beds were incredibly soft, and the air conditioning worked perfectly (which is a must in the Florida heat!). From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—everyone was friendly and accommodating, especially Alex, who went above and beyond to make our stay even better.One of the things we appreciated most was the thoughtful amenities. Being able to sign out fresh beach towels each day was so convenient. Our boys had an absolute blast biking along the sidewalks, swimming in the pool, kayaking, fishing off the marina, and relaxing in the hammock. The option to borrow fishing poles was such a nice touch—we even left behind some hooks and weights for future guests to enjoy.What really stood out to us was the atmosphere. It never felt restrictive or overly “rule-heavy”—instead, it felt easygoing and welcoming, which made all the difference when traveling with kids.Everything we needed was right there at a reasonable price, and we left feeling refreshed and grateful. A huge thank you to Coconut Bay for such a memorable stay. We will absolutely be back and will be recommending it to everyone we know traveling down from Delaware! Close to great eats: Marathon Bagel Co, The Stuffed Pig, Coast to Coast Pizza, Herbies, Porkys, Sunset Grill.

    The staff here are very nice and were accommodating. Words of advice if you stay at this resort and have a room in the front it is very noisy from all the road traffic. The room is nice size and had a comfortable bed and a table with two chairs which was convenient to have a meal or a snack. The shower in the first room had little water pressure. The Marina is a very small channel with no view very disappointing. Our second room in the back was quiet it was upstairs and the bed was comfortable and room was clean. For the keys it was a good value but still pricy as coconut cay is very dated. They do not have a breakfast but they do provide free tea and coffee. The night manager was very kind and helped to meet our needs with a room change.

    This place is worth every penny. It is great for family, guys trip, or solo. Everyone is laid back, they have a pool, boat ramp, and a canal with a dock. It is very clean and updated. Go check it out!
