Great Rooms - Great Location

We loved Eden House! We have been traveling to KW 2-3x a year for about 15 years. We loved that you could choose the room(read the room descriptions), so we chose the loft suite and was perfect. Inside was spacious and had just the right things for a perfect stay. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the pool. The room was clean and had no issues. Key West is old and many of the properties are very dated, but Eden has done a great job of keeping it up. The check-in staff was super friendly. It is situated in a perfect location to enjoy all the the Island offers. The pool was clean and well maintained along with the loungers/tables and tiki bar(free sunscreen in case you forgot to pack it). We were in town for the Song Writers Festival which can make it difficult to find rooms at a decent price and Eden was perfect!

Worst Hotel Customer Service & Unclean Rooms

DO NOT stay at the Eden House. We booked a five-night stay at Eden House in January 2026 and we’re still fighting for a refund from them as of May 2026. After seeing the photos on the website and the online reviews we booked a Queen Island Room. When we checked in, we were given what looked like a college dorm room that had a very strong mildew odor, had visible mold in the shower, there was no bed headboard and a bug on the bed pillow. We explained my girlfriend has asthma so mold/mildew isn’t an option and also that it was not what we booked given the photos on the website. Daniel at the front desk said there was nothing they could do. We had three hours of back and forth between the front desk, Booking.com, and us trying to find a solution. Eden House refused to cancel our reservation despite the misrepresentation in the photos and the mold/mildew. After Booking.com got involved, Eden House agreed to refund us for the majority of our stay as long as we paid for the first night since it was already 9PM by the time this was agreed on. Booking.com emailed us written confirmation of this so we agreed, left, and got another hotel for our stay. As I said, we’re still fighting with them in May 2026 for the refund. The front desk and management agreed to refund us, but clearly lied. They do not answer phone calls or emails. This is hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve had in my life. It’s not a locally owned mom and pop, it’s owned by Lumara Resorts, some conglomerate that operates hotels in Florida with terrible customer service. Stay far away from this place.

Enjoyable Stay at Eden House

We stayed here from 4/11-4/14/26. Our experience was good overall with a few caveats. Be careful when selecting your room. This is a 100 year old property & some rooms are quite small. Our 1st room was a cave right next to the lobby area. Other than having a new shower, it was not great. Thankfully, we were able to upgrade to a studio king suite for the last 2 nights.Pool area is nice & updated. Restaurant on site is pretty good.

Make sure you check and see which room you get. Some of the rooms are so small you barely move. There's not a separate bathroom. No place to hang your clothes. Barely get your suitcases in the door. The pool area is very nice. It has a nice hot tub, although I would say it's not really a hot tub because it feels like the water temperature is about the same as the pool hot tub water temperature should be around 102 it feels like it's 85 so although the place is nice and clean, which it is our rooms at least the ones on the second floor here are very tight and there's nowhere to put anything in fact, it's a TV fell off the wall. It would hit your feet. It seems to be only about 8 feet wide and about maybe 15 feet long. I wouldn't stay here again unless you get a sweet and that's probably another $300 plus a night.

Didn’t receive what we paid for :(

Didn’t get the condo we paid for…instead we had to climb over one story of stairs to a very cramped and crowded room. There was sposed to be an electric cooktop, but all we got was a tiny microwave and fridge. Spiral staircase falling apart and VERY dangerous. Neighbors were loud coming in at 2:45am. Thin walls! Only good thing was the community jacuzzi.
