    Good base for mid-Keys exploration

    Great location for mid-Keys exploration. Smaller property split among a traditional hotel and a second suite-style building. A very small marina and indoor/outdoor restaurant and tiki bar located between the buildings and by the primary pool. Pool area has games, hammocks and was well-kept, but towels only available through front desk. A small shop for souvenirs and convenience items, the usual breakfast. Staff very friendly and maintenance gets a shout out for replacing the safe battery. Parking is a bit pricey $20/day. Rooms are new-ish with updated furniture/decor, a desk area and adequate lighting and updated bathrooms with LED mirror, larger shower. A nice touch: 3 boat cleats in entry area for. hanging towels, gear, etc. I wish more hotels had hooks especially in a beach/boating area. Decor in general is nautical with nods to locale.     Atashia at the Front Desk was fantastic. She has a great personality - very friendly and personable, and she’s very good at her job. She oversaw our complimentary room upgrade as Titanium Elite members. Our corner unit room upgrade (superior suite, 1BR, bay view) was spacious. It had an amazing wrap-around porch and sunrise views over the water. The bedroom was separate from the living room, and the bathroom was huge with double sinks and ample counter space. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones we’ve ever had. We stayed five nights, and the main dishes were different every day. The staff who serviced the breakfast room did a great job stocking the food, even in the mornings when it was a full house. The property is well maintained and very clean. It’s worth the extra money and/points to stay in the second building at the back of the parking lot. There’s more privacy and all the rooms have balconies overlooking the water. There is also a separate pool for this building so it feels quieter and more private. The only negative is that this hotel charges $20 USD plus tax per night per vehicle.     Maybe a bit more eyes watching some of the cleaning staff!

    The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and the building seemed very nice when arriving. Had a very nice 5 day stay, EXCEPT when a brand new bottle of my favorite VODKA, went missing the day the cleaning staff arrived on our second day. Wow, this was very surprising! When I searched the room, thinking maybe they had moved it, and it was nowhere to be found, I headed down to the front desk, to let them know of the theft. I was greeted by a young girl, who sort of snickered, and said she would report that to the manager. I really did not find it amusing. But then the next day I went back to the front desk, and asked for the manager. I was given 10,000 bonus points to my Bonvoy account, whoop. I believe they should fire the thief, which I am sure they know who cleaned my room, and who walked off with my bottle and retrain the remaining staff. I would stay again, but would put the do not disturb on my door, and not bother having my room cleaned. I found everything else about the hotel very nice, comfortable and very accommodating, and a great location.     Not worth the price tage

    First of all, do not allow them to put you in Room 122. Our room literally shared the same wall as the very busy breakfast area where people cook their own waffles. People wait in that area and talk. From 7 am on, we heard conversations and dinging of waffle timers. (maybe they could move the waffle stuff to another area and move something quieter like the juice station there) This room is also at the intersection of the pool entrance and elevator so a lot of traffic and other noise. I’m just unsure why they would even use this as a guest room. To their credit, management did slightly compensate us and offered to move us if we were staying another night. If there was another room there, I’m not sure why they would have put us there initially. That room should be a last resort. The room itself was also rather small but fine for one night. The pool area itself was very nice as well as the tiki bar. Unfortunately, we were there on a Monday when the tiki bar and restaurant are closed. We would have enjoyed those if not closed. There was tons of parking, so unsure why there is a parking fee. For picking rooms, note that odd numbers face the pool and even numbers face the parking lot. The higher the number the closer you are to the back end of the hotel where you find the most parking. It was very clean with very good staff. However, the cost is significantly higher when compared to similar places we stayed in the Keys and definitely not worth it on a Monday night when tiki bar & restaurant are closed.
