  Unfortunately, the staff was not friendly, with the exception of the shuttle drivers and Olga, the concierge. The bartenders were the worst, mediocre drinks and zero hospitality. The food was cold and overpriced. The pool was nice but the waterfall was broken, which was disappointing. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel would benefit from bar height chairs on the balcony, to enjoy the beautiful views while sitting outside. The chairs provided were the exact height of railing. I was disappointed, this was our long overdue honeymoon, accommodating staff would have been nice.

  Disappointed with hotel. Just average for me. Definitely did not look as nice as pics show. 1. Charges were so confusing with different rates and some including resort charges and some not. Not one could give me a straight answer of what each rate is included. Cost was originally quoted as $800 ish for my stay, email confirmation said $1050. Called twice to ask them send me updated and corrected booking confirmation to avoid any confusion at check in. Never received it. Also note they slap a 1% charge for using a credit card at checkout. Was not mentioned at check in. Or checkout to be honest. Noticed on final invoice and questioned it. 2. At time of writing this review hotel was under construction/ renovation of rooms. Zero mention at check in, via prior email or on website to notify guests. Usually hotels inform guests when construction is happening at a property. Walked into room and loud hammering and drilling noises coming through wall. Contractors throwing trash from upper level down to parking lot missing my parked car by inches.3. Water dripping from room ceiling onto wet bed below. Pic attached to this review. Went to front desk and requested room change. There was also lots of standing water in corridors and around building. My daughter slipped and grazed her knee on last night. They obviously have water issues resort-wide which need addressing. 4. Front desk: my pet peeve - never asked how my stay was when I checked out. Also when went back to tell them about leaking roof and construction noise, zero apology or compassion to my concern.5. Pool was very nice, and quiet. Mornings we were often only people in pool. Never saw same people on other days, indicating many people must just be staying one night. 6. Location: kind of on the outskirts of town, 10-15 minute drive from old town/ Duval St. It was next to a Publix which was convenient. If you want a quiet pool stay, non issue. But if you want to be downtown drinking and enjoying the bars, I would recommend a hotel closer to the action. Although hotel does provide an hourly shuttle. If you stay in main building I think you may be ok, but the outlying building seems riddled with water issues and ongoing construction.   We stayed at Havana Cabana for 3 nights. It was an absolute blast. The staff was so kind and accommodating and the pool area really gave that Cuban vibe! We utilized the shuttle to get to town with no issues. All around great place to stay!   Our stay at Havana Cabana Key West was absolutely wonderful from start to finish.
