    Comfortable but in need of a renovation

    We stayed here for a few nights in early March. The staff was friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The room had a pleasant aroma, the beds were comfortable, and it was clean. However, the hotel needs renovation. The carpets have many white stains, and the 3rd-floor lobby tile has a large chip. There are many other noticeable issues, such as a burn hole in a stool in the breakfast area, and so many more that it is hard to list here—nothing that would stop me from staying here, but nevertheless noticeable.

    Four of us stayed at Hampton Inn plantation Florida in two different rooms on January 2nd 2026. Even though the rooms were booked together we were put on different floors.That's not the problem. The problem was that it was freezing cold and we couldn't get warm .We tried to turn the heat up.The ventilation was awful. One of us in our party woke up with laryngitis and the test of the party developed sore throats soon after. Usually have no problems with Hilton properties but ere disappointed here. DTomasello

    Hotel under major Maintenance in quiet area.

    Stayed a Wednesday night in room 222. Choose the Hotel because I wanted to stay in Ft Lauderdale area driving from Orlando and traveling further the next day. Choose this Hotel because it cost less costly than other Hilton options and wanted to see another area than Dana beach where I usually stay.Was overwhelmed at checkin because of major maintenance going on in the Hotel which resulted in a closed main entrance and lobby area being significantly diminished in space.Room was clean and had the usual Hampton amenities, but had issues with the lock (not working when swiping card and then suddenly working again). Internet required login again after I stopped using my device. complimentary breakfast was ok, but had less options compared to Homewood suites.Across the street is Broward mall, which looked very quiet at the time I passed through.

    This is the absolute worst Hampton Inn I've ever stayed in! Do Not Stay Here! I checked into the hotel around 730pm after traveling all day and stopping off for dinner before checking into my hotel. From now on, I will always check into my hotel before dinner! When I walked into the room I looked into the bathroom and noticed the paint droppings all over the new tile floor from the recent paint job. As I continued to walk into the room it had an old musty odor and the furniture looked as old as the room smelled. It wasn't until I looked outside into the parking lot did I discover source of the musty smell, the mold on the inside window inside of the room, see attached photo. Unfortunately since I booked through my work travel agent and the hotel manager had gone home for the night there wasn't any guarantee I'd be credited the nights stay if I booked at another hotel, so I spent one night in this hotel. Needless to say none of my bags spent the night on the floor. I did not have a very good night of sleep prior to my first day of training. During training the next day I noticed one of the other people attending the training had a Hilton paper bag given out by the front desk. I asked him if he stay there and how his room was. He said his room was awful and he was going to change hotels. He too said he put nothing on the floor that night and he discovered a mouse trap was set under his window air conditioner. On top of all of that the place is under extensive renovations, the gym is closed, the food looked horrible, and it makes me question my entire Hilton Honors Program!

    This hotel has been my favorite hotel in Fort Lauderdale for as long as I can remember. This year although it has done some renovations it has been my worst experience. First on arrival the front desk officer overcharged me and changed my rate although I booked the reservation eons ago. Thanks to Emily and the manager Amrita the rate was changed. Then breakfast was poor. No waffle syrup. To top this all off. The housekeepers are terrible,they do a terrible job. They never clean. Thanks Amrita and Emily for trying to turn my experience around. But I’ll take a break from Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale for a while.
