    uncontrolled mold smell / not professional staff

    This hotel is well below the standard expected from an IHG property. There is a strong mold smell throughout the entire building. I stayed on the fifth floor and had to inspect two rooms before reluctantly staying for one night on January 25, 2026. One of the rooms had not even had the trash emptied. I checked other floors and encountered the same odor everywhere. When I raised the issue at the front desk, it was dismissed, although it’s clear management is aware of the problem since heavy air fresheners are used throughout the hotel (the trash issue left in limbo). I hesitated to write this review, but the mold smell clung to my clothes—including those inside my luggage—for the rest of my week in South Florida. Do not stay here, at least until the issue is promptly addressed.     We waited SIX HOURS to get a room. Front desk staff were incredibly rude. I wish we never booked here. Save your money and time.     Stayed here pre-cruise. Close to the mall, short ride from Port. Clean, friendly, convenient. Will definitely consider staying here again if we sail out of Fort Lauderdale/Port Everglades again.

    Room is musty and moldy!

    The size room I paid for was not available. The room we did get smelled really musty and moldy. I woke up each day all stuffed up. Toilet was broken. Took several requests to get someone to come repair it. Breakfast was terrible. Cold potatoes, eggs were cheese omelets that had been sitting there for hours. Muffins were prepackaged store bought. Other than the front desk, no one speaks english. I would not recommend.     Great hotel with very personable pleasant staff from Check in desk to Breakfast area and Cleaning staff. We had an excellent stay with very comfortable spacious rooms,really enjoyed the breakfast where the staff were so pleasant and kept topping everything up. Plenty of parking with a good safe location close to a Cracker Barrel, Pines Boulevard a close distance away has plenty of restaurants (including a favourite of ours - Bahama Breeze) also plenty of stores. We were on vacation from the UK and when visiting again will definitely stay at this hotel.
