  The experience seems to be an old motel with Laquita signage was thoroughly unpleasant. The room had an odor reminiscent of an abandoned building and was very unclean. The pool water was discolored unkept. the manager was extremely unprofessional and lacked incentives to encourage guests to stay. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, even my enemies.

  Disappointing Stay — Ownership Doesn’t Seem to Care

  I stayed at La Quinta Cypress Creek from February 19–25 and would rate it about 1.5 out of 5 stars.For context, I am a travel advisor who has visited over 40 countries and stayed in countless hotels across all categories. I understand budget properties. This isn’t about expecting luxury — it’s about basic standards.The beds appeared clean and I saw no vermin, but that should be the baseline. The room felt old and poorly maintained, with cracks in the ceiling and very low-quality towels.The biggest issue was service. Staff are essentially there to check you in. If you need extra towels or supplies, you must go downstairs to get them yourself. Housekeeping does not service rooms daily, and I was told they prioritize cleaning checked-out rooms over rooms occupied by current guests. That does not make for a pleasant stay.The shower curtain was too small for the tub, causing water to flood the bathroom floor unless we requested an additional curtain.A 2-star hotel does not have to feel neglected. It feels like ownership simply doesn’t care.I would not stay here again and do not recommend it.

  The room was clean and comfortable. Refrigerator and Microwave are included. I was given a room in the back of the facility and it was far away from any highway noise. The location is close to I-95 and within walking distance of a Tri-Rail station. Miscellaneous fast food restaurants are also within walking distance.The breakfast options: Scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, pancakes, individually packaged muffins, small cartons of yogurt, three varieties (unlabeled) of cold cereal, oatmeal packets, four varieties of juice (including 100% orange juice and 100% apple juice), milk (whole milk only), coffee, two varieties of bagels, slices of whole wheat bread.The remaining issues are cosmetic: Painted concrete walls and ceilings in the room, old doors needing replacement (misaligned front door, bathroom door and closet door), water stains in the ceiling above the shower, very wobbly tables in the breakfast area (Be careful where you place your cup of hot coffee).For two weekdays in January of 2026 I paid an average of $114 per night, including taxes. Despite the cosmetic issues I have listed, this was good value for the money during peak season in Florida.

  The location is great and the atmosphere was great as well. Rooms need a bit fixing, specifically, the doors. It was hard to open. But the overall stay was nice
