Location

This hotel affords the perfect location with direct access to the beach in the centre of Waikiki where an array of shops and leisure and entertainment options are to be found. Links to the transport network are situated close by and it is a mere 800 m to Honolulu Zoo whilst the airport is approximately 12 km away.

Facility

The resort has 525 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 15 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. Water sports available at the resort include canoeing, sailing, snorkelling and diving. The complex offers numerous indoor sports, including billiards, bowling, yoga and callisthenics or, for a fee, a gym. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a beauty salon, massage treatments and a solarium. Evening entertainment includes live music.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a café and a bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. For lunch and dinner, guests can order à la carte. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Don’t Be Fooled by the Pictures – Very Disappointing Stay

    We were really let down by this hotel. Don’t be fooled by the pictures—the reality is far from what’s advertised. We weren’t informed about the renovations, which had a huge impact on our stay. The gym and spa—two of the amenities we were most excited for—were completely closed.The hotel has no atmosphere and feels very dated, which only added to the disappointment. The location is excellent, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end.The club room upgrade wasn’t worth it. It was only open for breakfast and a short window in the late afternoon, with a very limited selection of food and drinks. The space felt more like a staff area than a lounge, with a poor view and no ambience. An outdoor area would have made a big difference.This was meant to be a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience for us, and it fell far short of what we expected. We actually ended up booking a different hotel because the situation was so underwhelming.Overall, the lack of transparency, dated facilities, and reduced amenities made the stay feel overpriced and disappointing.

    Big renovations happening whilst open!!

    Very disappointed with the hotel on our 3rd stay! We were not informed prior to booking that huge renovations were taking place both inside and outside of the hotel!! All lifts inside had ply board attached inside and had a musty smell, as do the hallways of the hotel. The longboard club was on the top floor and was dark, damp, cold and only a small choice of food was available. It was so disappointing after previous years staying here. We sadly had to check out and find a different hotel for the remainder of our stay!! I think guests should be advised upon booking that big renovations are taking place, so that they are made aware rather than have them arrive and be very disappointed, or have the inconvenience of having to find alternative accommodation. Hopefully once renovations have taken place (whenever that maybe) it can be a beautiful hotel again.     We chose this hotel as it is one of the few directly on the beach. Had a good package through Costco that included either breakfast or lunch at Dukes. Hotel staff were very accommodating and the hotel was good enough for us. It was nice being able to walk out onto the beach.     Don’t waste your money

    This hotel is terribly outdated and very expensive for what you get. We were recommended it by some friends i would never stay there again.Had a leaking roof in the bathroom and we got a $75 credit in the restaurant but we were paying approximately $950 Aus per night.
