Amazing place that won’t break the bank!!
07 Feb 2026
We arrived late on a Friday night( honestly it was more like 12am Saturday). After driving 10 hours of what should have been a 8 hour trip, Check in was easy!and went seamlessly. I had call to let them know we were going to be late checking in and when we arrived knew who I was. Staff is friendly very cheerful for that time of night. There is a $75 dollar deposit for accidentals. Once in our room it was very clean. I did my normal bug check as I do with all hotels and it passed with flying colors. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows could be a little better. For the price it was a huge room. 2 queen beds with a sofa/lounge. Tv was ok not much of a selection to watch and you need two remotes to work it. Bathroom with big and the shower/tub combo was clean and night hot water. Perfect after driving all day. They have shampoo and conditioner provided along with lotion which was all citrus mint smelt so good. Only thing I would have changed is the bar soap. We had 3 people in our room and there was enough towels for everyone without getting more. Blow dryer that is attached to the was worked awesome. Location was perfect. Right off the freeway. There is several food establishments in walking distance including Texas road house and Starbucks. Just a mile down the road there is a restaurant called Thai 6 ways. Totally recommend it. The breakfast was lacking could have used more selection. Overall it was decent. We come to Houston a lot and will be staying here from now on. Overall it was very clean, friendly staff and family friendly. Overall

Stay here if you like being stuck in elevators
22 Apr 2025
I was hoping I didn't have to post this. I've waited almost a month for a response, but have received nothing. We checked in at the end of March for a 3-night stay. We got there late, checked in with no issue and went to our room.First weird thing was the state of the room keys. One must have been used 1000 times. It had scratches you could run your nail through and was bent. The other key had also been used 100's of times obviously. Just struck me as odd for a big chain hotel. The room seemed clean. We called down for a cot as advertised online and were told they did not have any there. The phone didn't work at first, but we managed to get the cord to stay in the receiver long enough to make that call. The sheets were slick feeling, almost uncomfortably so but we figured it was detergent or softener and slept. The shower the next morning was not awesome as it was barely warm. The towels had that same weird slick feeling on them as well and didn't leave you feeling clean. The next morning the shower just stopped working part the way through my sister's shower. She restarted it several times so she could rinse off. Again, the water was barely warm. We figured it was from many people using the system. That night we went to enjoy the hot tub. It was not enjoyable. If it was 10 degrees warmer than the pool I'd be surprised, the jets did not work, and the timer dial was broken.I decided it was time for a shower and went back to our room. This was around 7pm. The shower was barely warm when I turned it on, then it turned off again within 3 minutes of me starting it.I went down to the desk to ask for a new room as we needed to be able to shower. He suggested I go upstairs and wait for the maintenance. He called a few minutes later, but the phone wouldn't connect so I called back on my cell. He told me to come back down and get keys to a new room. When I got there he questioned me about which room I was in because the key envelope was also reused and the room number 220 that I was in was written over room number 221 from another guest. He then demanded I give up my current room keys in exchange for the new ones. I asked him how I was supposed to get back into the room to get our stuff and move rooms without the keys. He told me to return them ASAP.We changed rooms to 218. The new room had a broken door lock. The one that has a swinging arm to catch the hook. The hook was broken off and I cut my finger on it exiting the room. Bleeding I entered the elevator, with nothing but room keys. When the elevator stopped the doors didn't open. I waited. Nothing. I began knocking on the door. Nothing. I began hollering to see if anyone would respond. Nothing. Then the elevator dropped about 6 inches and still the doors did not open.I panicked. I began screaming, beating, and kicking at the door. I looked for an alarm or phone and saw nothing (I was panicked they may be there). Still, nothing.Nobody yelling back to let me know they heard me, nobody knocking on the door telling me to calm down. Nothing. When the doors finally opened, what felt like half an hour later but was probably 5 minutes, I literally fell out. The front desk clerk and two house staff were standing there staring like they had no idea WHAT was coming off that elevator. I broke down crying and shaking, having a full-blown panic attack. Eyes wide with terror, I kept telling them this was NOT okay, I was NOT okay. "Don't let anyone on that thing!!"I managed to get calmer and was given water and a band-aid when I asked for one. When I was ready to make it back to my room I started for the stairs. The clerk tried to get me back into the elevator!!!!! He even suggested he would ride with me. A strange man, in a strange city, in an elevator I JUST got stuck in. I took the stairs despite is repeated insistence it was fine.Once back to my room I crawled into bed and realized the sheets felt nothing like the sheets in the other room. These felt normal. Then I noticed the black mold on the bedside lamp shade. We checked out at 5am the next morning. We were told then that the manager had been notified and we should expect a call later that day.Nothing.When I called several days later I was told to come downstairs to speak with someone at the desk. I explained I was already back home and then was told I'd receive a call from the manager soon.Nothing.When I called again, I was told to come downstairs yet again. And yet again, I explained I was not there. The lady then told me "I just went up to room 218 and there is someone there." I said, "Great, go bother them but they're not me. Shouldn't you know who's in your hotel?" I was told again I'd get a call.We have yet to receive any call and it is now the end of April. I was told the manager's name was Bob, then it was PC. I was told he was out of the country for an emergency and my issue was not important enough to give us a callI have called no less than 10 times. Mainly speaking with a woman who identifies herself as Kay. She's been mostly pleasant, aside from the two times she's claimed to be ill. But no answer from management.I have been told he's now back in the country and coming in to work and would call. Nothing.I offered my email if that would be easier to contact him by. Nothing.I've been told so many times he'd contact me and nothing has come of it. I was offered a single night's refund, which I refused until I spoke to the manager. I felt I deserved to speak to them and tell them what happened firsthand, especially after weeks of being ignored. Nothing. Then I called to accept the refund as that was obviously all I was going to get from them. Nothing.I've called back twice to check the status of the refund.Nothing.I've given them a chance to fix this issue. I have practically begged for it. My arms and wrists were in pain for a week and a half from my attempts to escape the elevator. I could barely do my work when I got home. I still tried to reason with them.I hate leaving negative reviews. But this one, I can honestly say, is well deserved.

Dear laylaw67, First and foremost, we want to sincerely apologize for the deeply upsetting experience you encountered during your stay with us. Reading your detailed account, it is clear that your stay did not meet the basic standards of comfort, safety, and service that we promise to every guest, and for that, we are truly sorry. There is no excuse for the series of issues you described, from the condition of the rooms, the hot water and shower problems, the malfunctioning elevator, and most importantly, the lack of urgency and compassion in addressing your concerns both during and after your stay. What you went through, particularly the frightening elevator incident and the lack of appropriate follow-up, is absolutely unacceptable and not reflective of the level of care we aim to provide. We completely understand the distress, fear, and frustration you felt, and you deserved much better. We are also very sorry for the breakdown in communication following your stay. You should never have had to make repeated calls or wait for weeks without a proper response. That is not the experience we want for any of our guests. Your feedback has been shared directly with our upper management and ownership team, and a full internal review of these events is underway. We are addressing training opportunities with our staff to ensure more immediate and appropriate responses in the future, and we are already working on resolving the maintenance and housekeeping issues you brought to light. We are committed to learning from this and doing everything we can to ensure a situation like this never happens again for you, and for every guest who trusts us with their stay.Thank you for your patience, and again, please accept our deepest apologies.

Great stay and very clean
13 Nov 2023
The stay for my wife and I was pleasant and quiet. The hotel is located near multiple retraunts and shopping. The rooms and lobby were very clean and nicely appointed. The only draw back was it had carpeting but it was clean and the price very reasonable. If you are in the houston area I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel! Great service! Friendly staff!
29 Sept 2023
The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff were amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Latoya (on night shift) helped us check in and hooked us up with a really nice room and jacuzzi. She was also very honest and communicative. She had made an honest mistake and she chose to personally come talk to us and still made it to where we benefited from our trip. With how kind and friendly Latoya was; we have personally become friends with her and we will 100% definitely be back to this hotel for our next vacation! Great hotel! Great service! Friendly staff!
