Misleading, disappointing, and a bit gross

    rating01 Aug 2025

I don't usually write reviews, and I'm not a picky or particular person. BUT... They DO NOT have a shuttle. They lie about this online as well as when you call. When you arrive in person they say they do not have a shuttle. Despite being 8 minutes from the airport, you can expect to pay at least $20-30 for uber or lyft. Additionally, they have lots of bugs. Unidentified bugs as well as what we believed to be a cockroach in our bathroom. Also, the tub had rust and moldy looking spots. The bare minimum: the bed seemed clean enough to sleep in. If you are desperate, you will be ok.This hotel looks like the skeleton of what might have once been a nice hotel.

AVOID: A SCAM -- MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE ASHAMED

    rating23 May 2024

AVOID!!! A SCAM!!! This is one of the only times I've ever left a comment/review on a site like this, but felt I needed to do so due to how awful this "hotel" is. This place is horrible in every way. I regret getting a reservation here. The current management should be ashamed of itself. On the website and when you call, they claim they have shuttle service from the airport. They do not. When I asked why, they said it was "out of order" (?!).So, you'll have to spend an extra $60 for Lyft/Uber from and to airport. The two yutzes at the front desk could barely talk, could answer almost no questions, didn't bother to tell us what the Wifi password was and told us when we asked for more pillows (there were three tiny little lumpy half-pillows in the room that would barely be enough for one person), that they had none left. The lobby was sweltering (this was in late May), and the room wasn't that much better even when we pumped the A/C. There were literally THREE hangers in the closet. And the "gift shop" (where we went to get bottles of water/food for the night) was almost completely bare. They also took $50 from my credit card for a "deposit" that will allegedly be paid back (we haven't checked out yet) without having first told me. A deposit is one thing, but they should at least tell you at check-in. This place should be condemned. Shame on them all. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE MADE!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, EVEN IF IT'S A LITTLE MORE MONEY!!!

    Find somewhere else

    rating22 Apr 2024

Needed a place to stay last minute so I looked in the area. The price was good, that’s about all I could say, so I selected this hotel. After posting online I drive to the hotel and saw a big red violation notice on the front door. It was on the sliding door so you really couldn’t read it. After checking in the clerk told me the elevator only worked going up and you had to take the stairs down… I didn’t have my knee brace, but thought I could handle going down vs. up. When I made it to the room, You could hear the outside as if a window was wide open. While spraying/wiping the room down I noticed what appears to be old blood stains on my duvet and it was terribly ripped. It was late, I was tired so I threw it off and slept under the sheet. The next day I informed the front desk on the status of my room (and showed pictures). The clerk stated she would move me to another room. Her shift ended at 3:00 and I didn’t make it back in time to deal with her so I had to deal with the next clerk. This clerk a rude and very short with me. They moved me to room 330 but while she did that she deactivated my first room key putting me to go back down and up and then back down the stairs which at this point was hurting my knee. When I finally got into room 330 it smelled like mold/mildew. I again sprayed things down and noticed this duvet was also terribly ripped as well… OH and both bathtubs were horribly stained… I got up to go to the bathroom I noticed two baby roaches in the bathroom. There is one thing I don’t do and that’s bugs. I gathered my belongings and checked out (didn’t even stay a night I paid for). When I got to the desk and told the clerk she seemed upset that I was checking out and again was very short with me. This was the first time I’ve ever had a horrible experience like this… I hope somebody read this review and take it to heart. They definitely have some co MAJOR upgrades to year to.

    Worst Hotel! Worst Customer Service!

    rating06 Nov 2022

My husband and I stayed in this hotel from 11/1-11/5. When we first checked into room 111, the room was so dark. There had no ceiling light, no desk lamp on the desk, and no floor lamp next to the sofa. All we had in the room was only two lamps next to the bed and the light at the entrance. Since we were staying for four nights, my husband went to the front desk and asked if we can move to another room that has better lighting. The front desk who worked in the PM shift on 11/1 was so rude. She had no name tag. I asked the AM shift front desk for her name and this PM shift lady was called Aalima. She was so rude. She said “when I am with the guests, don’t come and ask me for a room move.” I was thinking, so others are guests, we aren’t guests? When my husband went to the front desk the second times, she said she will find us a floor lamp. Later, she came to our room, and again, she was very rude and said to us “you get two lamps next to the bed and the entrance light. Every rooms are the same. Your room isn’t missing any lamps. I’m bringing you this floor lamp which is not supposed to be in this room. The floor lamp is for bigger room.” I told her that I work in the hotel as a housekeeping manager and I never seen a hotel room that is so dark. She said, “you are a housekeeping manager, you know this is a fire hazard to put a floor lamp next to the sofa. “ She was very rude and keep arguing with us and never apologize. When my husband returned the luggage cart back to the hotel entrance, Aalima asked him about the room after she put the floor lamp. My husband didn’t want to talk to her since she was so rude. However, my husband showed her the pictures that is on the hotel website, all the suites have floor lamps, desk lamps, and a coffee table. Our room doesn’t have any of them. Aalima lied again and said those rooms that have floor lamps and desk lamps are for other room types and they are not for your room, which I know it’s not true. Those rooms look exactly the same as our room. Aalima was just keep making excuses. My husband asked again if we can move to another room that has better lighting, she said again, “NO, there is nothing I can do. If you are trying to get a refund, look for other hotel.” We were so mad that we never plan to ask for a refund. We just asked to move to a room that has better lighting since we stay here for four nights. Around 11 pm, Aalima called and said she can move us to the third floor. Why did she need to wait until 11 pm to move us? Is that because there is no housekeeper works in the PM shift, if she moves us to another room, room 111 will show vacant dirty in the system, and later if the new reservation comes and she needs room 111, then she needs to clean the room for upcoming guests? The PM shift for front desk usually ends at 11 pm, she was only willing to move us right before she ends her shift, so if front desk needs room 111, the night auditor who works in the overnight shift needs to clean the room. The room that I moved on the third floor had the same issue. There’s no desk lamp on the desk. I bet they just don’t have enough lamps in the hotel. The only thing they can do is just keep moving the lamps to one room from the other. During our 4 nights stay, there had power outages twice, none of the computers were working in the business center, WIFI was not working all the time, washer and dryer were not working, the side door/back door was not working. The AC was not working after the power outage. One of light bulbs for the lamp that Aalima gave us was out after few minutes. The sofa and carpet were so old and had stains on them. There were just so many issues in this hotel. There’s so many hotels in Houston, I would suggest everyone to pick other hotels for better customer service and better hotel room. This hotel is not up to brand standard.

The WORST hotel, AVOID STAYING HERE

    rating31 May 2021

I travelled with my family to Houston, TX last weekend. I'd had a reservationa at Comfort suites IAH Houston for more than a month. I confirmed my reservation prior to arrival, everything seemed ok.On saturday, may 29th, we arrived to this hotel at the time of check-in (3 pm). The lady at the front desk told us (in a very bad manner) that our room was not ready, that there were no two double bed suites at the time (my reservation was for a 2 double bed suite) and asked us to come back later. I asked how long would it take and she said that at least an hour, so not to worry if we came back even later, that our suite would be ready. We went back to the hotel at 8:30 pm. I told the same lady that I was there for my check in (again). Next thing I know she told me that SHE HAD CANCELLED MY RESERVATION because she had no clean rooms available, that she even tried calling in someone from maintenance to clean the room but no one had showed up, so she went ahead and cancelled the reservation, and that because my mobile number was from another country she wasn't able to reach me. She said mine was not the only reservation she had cancelled (as if that could help me in any way). I asked her what was I supposed to do? and she said she had no clue, just like that!I was left there with my family at 9 pm with no reservation whatsoever, she did not offer any solution, she did not even apologize. It was Memorial weekend saturday, there was no availability in any hotel, it took us more than 3 hours to find a hotel where we could stay the night, and the only one we were able to find was a 50 minute drive away.It was an awful experience, never expected to be treated in such a way. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONEAvoid staying here! your reservation is not secured.
